I would be perfectly ok with them scrapping it and moving on to kingdom hearts 3 to be honest. But I mean, if its gonna be a show stopper I wouldn't announce it either and let it be a surprise so who knows?

I don't condone what EA said but I don't exactly agree with this guy saying all devs should hold each others hands and sing songs together. There are lines that shouldn't be crossed yeah but having rivalries and little smack talk here and there isn't bad for the industry...
