@1.2 - yeah and then they really would hate prison and not want to do crimes again, which is the whole point of the prison system. Prison is waay to easy if people get to play games.
I don't know about you guys, but I don't care about DLC at all. I mean I got GTA4 for 360, but I AM NOT going to buy the DLC. What's the point of buying a game for £40 and then having to pay for DLC? Completely not worth buying.
erm... epileptic people are not retards.
Also what I don't understand is that surely Epileptic people would know that games would possibly trigger epilepsy, so they should stay away from them (or some of them atleast) right?
Exactly, this is what I've been saying from Day one of E3. Localisation does NOT take as long as porting a game
That would be crazy, can't wait to see what it is
I don't think it is a sequel, cos it says new exclusive. And I don't think it will be a major announcement of the game is a sequel. Unless they end up saying Gears of War 2 exclusive to PS3.
Yeah, so they have a 2 year cycle for each of their games. I think as soon as Ratchet and Clank FTOD was completed a small part of the team kept working on the new R&C, and the rest moved on to Resistance 2. Now that Resistance 2 is almost complete the team will start working on Ratchet & Clank properly.
@1.13 - Sony don't insult their competitors as much as MS (that's what I was trying to say if you look at my comment), and so far I haven't seen Nintendo insult their competitors at all.
Also Sony copied MS with achievements, but they improved on it, in the Trophy system their are 4 different types of "achievements", as well as a leveling feature. Now MS copied Sony back with the introduction of Medals (when the new dashboard is released).
All I'm sayin...
FF13 is a system seller, it sells a LOT of consoles in Japan (FFX release = 1 million PS2 sales straight away). Also it would have been a system seller in EU and US aswell (to a lesser extent). But now that it is multi, it won't really sell consoles for either system in EU and US, unless the PS3 version of FFXIII comes out first.
It's really sad that MS (more than any other company) needs to diss their competitors to try and get console sales. Really pathetic to see a company go down to that level on a weekly basis. Even in E3, they attacked the PS3 directly by copying most of it's First party casual games and by saying that "this generation the 360 will beat the PS3".
They shouldn't need to do that, and they shouldn't do that. Just make good games and the consoles strong points will show them...
360 price cut was last week, that's why 360 US sales are so high. Although some people on VGChartz commented that the sales were just from people waiting to buy the 360 when the price was cut (meaning previous weeks' sales were even lower than they usually are)
cheers Sev, I trust you.
@monchichi - Let's put it this way, if Square Enix say to MS that they NEED to have a mandatory install for FFXIII, MS is not going to say no. They would be stupid to do that, cos Square Enix would just say OK we're only making the game for PS3 now.
^Eventually that will happen, if not for FFXIII than some other future game.
Looks good, too bad we probably won't see this game anytime soon :(
If whatever is released on that site says "Rumour" at the end of it, then I will never trust this site ever again. They already anounced some FF7 info yesterday (which turned out to be a rumour), they better have hard evidence this time.
Wtf, the game is meant to be humorous for God's sake. btw the woman in that pic doesn't look very feminine if you ask me 0_o
Joystiq is quite a credible source, so this is probably true, but the port will probably be crappy, I mean it's EA...
Right that settles it PS3 version > 360 version
This website is really stupid, they are basically giving their opinions on rumours, but NO hard facts. e.g. the FFXIII timed exclusive for PS3 is more than likely true, because I'm pretty sure that it takes more time for a game to be PORTED than to be localised.
The question is whether Square will delay the release of the PS3 version to coincide with the 360 version which will have to be both ported and localised. This is why teh port will take a while:
This is ...
the 360 version is a continuation of the previous game (from I think 81-135, whereas the PS3 version goes from episode 1-135 of the anime. So I'm kinda expecting the 360 version to be a little more in-depth (although Rise Of a Ninja was not as in-depth as I would have liked).
But the good thing about the PS3 version is that it has Japanese Voices, which ROAN didn't have (was released as DLC later)
