People forget that the original RE3 had the choice system at certain moments, and that this gave the game a form of replayability that RE2 didn’t have. By giving the player the ability to affect the events of the story/the order or location they take place it incentivised playing the game for longer. It seems a bit quaint and minor by today’s standards for branching pathway stories/games like Until Dawn or Detroit: Become Human, but perhaps Capcom have leant into this and developed it more th...

What if it’s a Shadow of the Colossus SEQUEL?

I kind of feel like Kojima is becoming the gaming equivalent to Baz Luhrmann or Luc Besson; producers of stand out classics in the past but have since increasingly put out technically and aesthetically excellent yet narratively inscrutable and pretentious works.

FF8 was my favourite FF back in the day and I’d been hoping for a full remaster but I’m sorry, leaving the pre-rendered backgrounds as they were is such a lazy and disrespectful move that it borders on false-advertising to call this release a remaster. They’ve only done half the work and it’s a HUGE disappointment. As some have already mentioned, it doesn’t take too much manpower or time to get an AI upscaling algorithm to create beautiful crisp 4K upscales of PS1 pre-rendered backgrounds. It...

Agreed, we’ll know we’ve objectively hit a new level of immersion complexity when games can provide a large choice of varied activities/mini-games like Yakuza/Shenmue but progressively via fully explorable buildings in any given dense area, extending out into broader outdoor open-world areas like neighbouring ocean/desert/forest that you can also fully explore

I really, really, really, really, really, REALLY want it to be Capcom selling the Okami IP to its creator Hideki Kamiya and/or Platinum Games

We’re the lighting changes that were throughout always there? Or was this the Modder occasionally altering the light to create a different effect? Interesting either way!

Third playable character? I'd like if it was someone totally new if just for the story/campaign. Or at the very least, the main game being a Dante/Nero split again but punctuated by playable Sparda/Nelo Angelo flashbacks.
Older characters that were playable in previous entries (Lady, Vergil, Trish) can still be alternate skins (like in DMC4SE) or used for Bloody Palace.

On the whole though this leak is very promising and has warmed this OG DMC fan's soul....

Transformers? Nija Turtles? Korra?

Come on Platinum, where is the team that made my favourite last-gen game, Vanquish?!

How Platinum can turn it around (for me):

1. Hideki Kamiya needs to acquire the rights/form a deal with Capcom to make an Okami sequel
2. He then directs an Okami sequel but incorporates all things he's learnt from Scalebound and things featured in modern ARPGS like Witcher 3 (endless interesting sideques...

What if in Dead Space 3, humans have found a way to use the marker copiers they create as an unlimited or powerful energy source that must be kept under control - hence why Carver knew it was a very bad thing when the glass/structure around the marker broke.

It suggests to me some sort of patient malevolent intelligence within each Marker that is always about to do something like we see in the digital comic like emit EMPs and influence people to go crazy and start killing th...

It looks proper ugly! Blocky, garish and that HUD is distractingly big. Yes, I know it' not representative of the final product but damn, I would have been ok with it being footage for the Wii U version but the buttons on the right reveal that this is the PS3 version! What's going on?!

Sony could make the Move the default controller for PS4 and bundle it with the new console.

PS4 should then have backwards compatibility for all existing PS3 Move games.

This way millions of gamers who originally bought a Move will already have a 2nd controller for the new console upon release, and there'll be a slew of games already available to play (many of which could be bundled as free DLC for early adopters).

Developers having alre...

Can't say I expected anything hugely different to this.

Even so, I'm still massively disappointed at the developers for not fighting hard enough against the sort of interference from the higher-uppers at Konami that results in decisions like this being made.

Aside from the fan-insulting Korn track, the trailer doesn't fill me with much hope either. I wanted it to, but the mood-destroying, Hollywood-style, super-dynamic camera angles swooping aroun...

Hmmm...Edo period Japan would be awesome! However don't you feel that ninjas/feudal Japan has been a bit over-done in games? I think one of the things that makes the AC series unique is in how they give us settings that a good many of us would initially baulk at and think of as silly and/or tedious or counterintuitive to set a game in, then proceed to smear egg all over our complacent gamer faces :).

I want Assassin's Creed 3 to break with the tradition of just bein...

OK, who agrees with this idea:

I want Assassin's Creed 3 to break with the tradition of just being set in one time period. I would prefer that it has the expected multiple historical cities as in previous AC games, but that in AC3 each of the cities are in different countries AND at different, relevant points in their history, following more than one ancestor:

1st City: Revolutionary Paris (1789-1799). Lots of intrigue and plot excitement because of what ...
