I'm over 90 hours in, and the only reason I would give skyrim an 8 or 9 and not a 10 is because of the frame rate issues. They do get annoying sometimes, but they only last for a few seconds. Calling the problem "game breaking" is an extreme exaggeration. All you have to do is save, quit, reload, and you're good. Skyrim's nowhere near as buggy as New Vegas was. When it first came out, that's a game that could be called broken.
People are blowing the whole "unplayable" thing WAY out of proportion. There are some frame rate drops every now and then after you've been playing for a few hours, but they don't last longer than a few seconds. If you find them annoying, all you have to do is save, quit to menu, re-load, and you're good for another few hours. Enjoy! =)
I played for an hour and a half with an arrow sticking out of my head. Then I realized that there was a single steel arrow in my inventory. After I dropped it, the arrow was gone. Have you checked that? I felt silly when I found it in my game. Just throwing it out there. =)
I do have to say that, as far as the bird/snake/fish puzzles are concerned, the author's just not looking hard enough. There are clues for the animal puzzles EVERY time. However there are some lever puzzles that you just have to sit there and try out the different combinations of "this lever up, that lever down" to get all the doors/gates to open. Those can be frustrating when the wrong positions set off traps. =(
Agreed. Everyone's been saying that Skyrim becomes "unplayable" after you reach the ~30 hour mark. I just passed 80 hours and after playing for about 5-6 hours straight I start to get hiccups when first entering areas(cities, mines, etc.) and sometimes during dragon fights where NPCs are also taking part in the fight. Other than that Skyrim's running just fine. I haven't had the game freeze on me once! It's not like I and @sirdrake just got magically working cop...
While after about 5-6 hours of play I do start to get hiccups for a few seconds after entering new areas, I'm not experiencing anything like what's being reported by other PS3 owners. And I'm at 70+ hours. I think a lot of people are exaggerating their problems so they can jump on the "Bash Bethesda" band-wagon. The video's people are pointing to as proof are probably the result of an overheated PS3 that's been running for 12+ hours straight.
As I stated, I've passed the 70 hour mark, and my game is no where near being "unplayable" like many have said their's has become. My PS3 is one of the old "FAT" PS3s. Model number CECHL01, maybe people can start posting their PS3 model number to see if maybe a pattern presents itself.

Only experience frame rate drops at around 5-6 hours of play. All I have to do is save, and re-load. Then everything's fine. I have no Idea were the whole "game is broken at 30hrs" thing is coming from. When I experience frame rate problems it's just a couple of hiccups when I first enter new areas. Just enough to be annoying. Nothing like what's in the videos. =/
I'm over 40 hours in to Skyrim on PS3, and I haven't experienced this problem at all. I've been playing in 8-9 hour sessions as well, so you would think I would have. Hopefully I won't have to deal with it. *crosses fingers*
I wish the U.S. was like that, lol. For some reason stores in the U.S. hold to street dates like the owner's family is being held hostage and will be killed if the game makes it out of the store even 2 seconds early. =P
This has been the case on PS3 for me as well. I notice low res textures occasionally, but they only last for a second or two and it does nothing to impede or "break" game play, so it's not a major problem. I would like to see a fix though. Noticing texture loads is removing. It breaks the immersion in the game. =(
Australia is making a habit of this. They break street dates ALL THE TIME! I know for sure that they did this with Batman: Arkham City
Bethesda games like TES IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3, and the upcoming TES V: Skyrim are the best form of escapism provided in video game form. They go to great lengths to create a rich, detailed environment that simulates an entire "other world" you can get lost in for hours and hours at a time. Years later I'm still finding new things in both Oblivion and Fallout 3.
Amazon isn't the only retailer to get one of these. Bethesda had a lot of them made to send out to stores as a promotional display.

The article says that all the results are Batman related, but I typed in "news", and it just brought up normal results(politics, etc.). =/
The line is, "I'm not wearing hockey PADS", and while I loved The Dark Knight, Christian Bale's Batman voice is absolutely horrible. He sounds like just ate a block of cheese, drank a gallon of milk, and smoked 3 cartons of cigarettes, lol. =)
Jump over a rock......seriously? >_>
