Right.. Even though it sells more.. that has nothing to do with quality..
If your logic was true, i'm sure you'd listen to Justin Bieber too.. right? :)
lol... yeah... auctally i have bought MW4 which i liked... COD black ops , which i had some fun with... but i honestly couldn't care less about another..
PC version of BF3 all the way.. (BF2 for the time being)
What i'm saying though is that it comes down to the translation.
With guitar hero at least they played rock music, and the buttons on the guitar symbolically made sense..
In the case of DJ hero, they emphasize scratching yet it's cheese pop music where there clearly is no scratching involved. it doesn't translate at all.
Not only does it not translate, but they don't seem to include any music where it does translate well.
Actually i do agree with you. I just think it's sad all around. (which is why i think it hasn't sold well)
I'm not surprised this package is not selling well. It doesn't capture traditionally what djing is about.
Is there even scratching/turntablism used in these synth/pop/vocal tracks? I'm thinking no. I mean, why the simulation of scratching, to cheese pop/synth/trance? ...
traditional DJing came from hiphop as an improvisation and turned into a whole style/genre itself... Does this game even consider hiphop/funk/jungle/dnb/dubstep /reggae/dub ? ....
i guess really what your saying is that you agree with me ? about having stricter policies? :)
No but i dont' read those boob articles either. :)
Sorry but I obviously failed to see any humour in it.. I find it about as amusing as all the pop culture bs that's out there... like "oh.. Look what what dress so and so was waring to the whatever event" ..
fun? I like fun... but why would anyone care? it was waste of time to read. :) I think a reason N4G needs to have stricter policy on what is news worthy.
This journalist is overly dramatic and kind of dumb. He insults himself by writing the article..
All Carmack is doing is using it to dump his random thoughts as he goes about his day... and we all know what he does for a living.. Who said he had to write meaningful tweets just so that everyone could understand him perfectly? He's more likely to just write whatever on his mind... (which is the intention of twitter i thought - Carmack is obviously just in a technical mind ...
I live downtown Toronto and i just saw one today out at lunch...
The ads aren't even violent. They're pretty grim, but not violent.
I donno. if they want to remove them from around the school. Go for it, they pay taxes as well, but no reason to remove all them.
Ohh it's not junk. it's a really serious problem that for a lot of people just makes the game... very disapointing to play. (the game is great, the controls.. omg!)
How anyone does not think that.. it floors me, and begs the question, "how long have you been playing video games anyway?
I 10000% agree with those who feel the controls are to lagged. They are. Call it "simulation" or whatever, but the game suffers because of it. (detect the sarcasm: it's not simulation! that's an excuse to mask the technical issue that it is)
back to COD4 myself.. until they fix it.
lol "twitchy" ... wtf. you mean RESPONSIVE?
I'm not trying to be a dink, but i think me among many avid players feel this *is* an issue..
(we've tried turning off the networking, changing tv's, plugging the controller in directly etc)
Try circling someone and keep a steady aim on them so you can shoot them. It's pretty hard and clunky... Try that with just about any other shooter where it's actually responsive.
On a plus note though, they have acknowledged the issue and are looking into it. ...
I'm not a hater. I see the brilliant potential, but for a first person shooter, the controls are just horrible.
Anyone who says "they are not lagged, it's for simulation" is just in denial. Why would you want to simulate lag? You can still make the guns feel heavy without making it hard to control. That's really the problem. Even in real life while holding the heaviest of guns, your muscles respond as you would expect.. I believe it's just an excuse to say otherwi...
Just because they used 60% of the cell DOES NOT MEAN 60% graphic potential. There's much more to the PS3 than just the CELL. sure it's fast, but i bet Killzone 2 is much more bottlenecked by the modified 7900GTX running at 1080i resolution (i think that's what i read)
ALso, who is going to attempt to make a game to beat this anytime soon? esp considerin the cost, and 4+ years development? not going to happen anytime soon. So it may be one of the best games on the PS3, for...
What an empty threat... i think someone's a bit upset, and that's it. I'm auctally kind of amazed that they're so upset about their own operating system continuing to be popular.
Exactly, why would anyone ask their company why they're running XP still? I think as the numbers show XP is still popular in homes too (we know vista had troubles penetrating that) . the Only reason Vista sold is partly because it was preinstalled and forced on people.
Thank you for ...
Who cares really? just buy one of the other 100 million DS's out there if you're concerned about it. Or keep your old DS if you want the DSi.
Personally i don't know why Nintendo dind't just wait, and then release a DS2 once the DS started to die down (with DS backwards compatibility)
After reading your post, I couldn't agree more. I acutally bought the wii really early on with high hopes. Galaxy and Metroid were good titles, but just about everyting else makes me feel like an old man in a kiddy toy store. (i do play kart time to time still) There really is no appeal.. It's bad when you have to feel like a gimp browsing the wii game section in a store.
I got a PS3 a while back now, and have no regrets there. (i'm not a 360 fan at all) and couldn't be hap...
I'm surprised that Phantasy Star Online Eps 1 & 2 Plus is worth more than Phantasy Star Online Eps 1 & 2.
the "fixes" in plus were partly to prevent the gamecube hack that allows custom binaries :) ..
i have a copy of "Phantasy Star Online Eps 1 & 2" and i've used it to run Linux... many times.
Curious how well the PS3/360 version will scale compared to the PC version.. Not sure if there's been much more than PC videos posted.
PC version all the way though. (For those who have the hardware)
