Resident Evil 2 and The Outer Worlds. World War Z and Jedi: FallenOrder were pretty fun as well.

Control was boring AF.
Bad pacing, terrible map design, rubbish performance on base consoles, dumb enemy AI, contrived Metroidvania elements, awful writing, lack of atmosphere, lack of tension, bad dialogue, pointless ending.... I could go on and on.

FTL, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Child of Light, No Man’s Sky and Hotline Miami all have phenomenal soundtracks. Surprised they didn’t get a mention.
I've played it and -- good lord -- is it a boring experience. Not sure what everyone sees in Control. Honestly, it's an absolute snooze-fest with terrible writing, pacing and passable gameplay. It looks nice, though, so I guess it's GotY material!!! /s

Nah, Control is a laborious bore with terrible writing.
I found Control laborious to get through and ultimately disappointing. It got better reviews than Days Gone, but that game is superior to Control imho.
I'd actually go as far as saying it was *very* one note. Was an absolute slog to play through. It was so bland and repetitive.
Aye, The Outer Worlds and Resident Evil Remake are my two favourite games of the year, personally.
I still play AvP on PS3 to this day. That game had fun multiplayer too.

Do it! If you’ve got an iPad lying around, it’s a great place to experience FTL. It’s very cheap, too. Hope you enjoy it!
