This game was not even on my radar, but after reading the review I'll pick it up and have a bash!
For that price, I'm not to bothered if it doesn't look as shiny as full PS4 titles.
It took me ages to get in to this game and I really didn't get all the hype. Then things changed and it became one of my favourite games of the last gen.
Wasn't overly impressed by the ending though!
Love this game, even though I had no expectations of it. It just goes to show a game doesn't have to be massively complex or ground breaking to be fun.
Looking at some of the replies it's ironic that people are calling me a troll or fanboy for having an opinion.
For those that won't bother reading the blog post, let me fill you in on the important parts.
I was a massive fan of the 360 and I really want the Xbox One to succeed. Despite the problems I have had with it, I have still invested in nearly every game that is on the system as I want to support it and see the problems I have encountered fixed....
What's the point of having a section for "Opinion Pieces" if you can't express your opinion??
If you actually read the closing paragraph I am pretty positive about the Xbox One.
And the hate part of the title is justified as at times I did hate the console as it was causing me so many problems. Each time I sorted one problem I was presented with another!
And as being called a Fanboy, I'm not sure what I'm a fanboy o...
A bit of a weak line-up this time round. Although Hotline Miami is an amazing game for anyone that doesn't already own it.
It makes me laugh that people have been complaining about the length of this game.
If the price tag of £20 on release day didn't give people a hint that this wasn't a full game, then that's their fault.
I must admit they do look cool, but the 'technology" they are talking about is nothing ground breaking. They are essentially just tinted lenses with an anti-glare coating made to sound much more fancy through a series of techno babble. The only unique thing about them is that they are targeted at gamers.
Saying that, the prices are reasonable and would cost a fair bit more to buy something similar from an opticians.
Just the title is enough to make me want to run a mile!
I think most locations will seem dull after being able to navigate the Caribbean in Black Flag.
I do like the idea of Victorian England. Maybe The Elephant Man could be the main character, although I'm not sure his free running skills were up to scratch!
I am almost tempted to ditch my beloved Mac in order to buy a PC just to play this game!
I am really tempted to pick this game up even though I detest South Park.
Great review
I was finding it hard today because people were just jumping straight on to the Titans and ripping their brains out before you even got a chance to do anything. A few of the other players seemed strangely overpowered, but maybe that's just me being rubbish!
I love the game so far, despite the fact it doesn't run that smoothly on the Xbox One at present.
This game will either live or die by upcoming content. If they keep fresh new DLC coming our way it should see the longevity it deserves. If not I can see it fizzling out within a few months.
For me the only thing that spoils the COD games is the other players as they are just so damned good these day.
I could always hold my own on Free For All, but now I just get trounced!
Getting old sucks!
I'd love to see Shadow of the Colossus and Medieval tarted up for the new consoles.
I done that with my Xbox 360, stacked up a few years worth then sold my 360 to get a PS4! Not the most "Frugal" move ever.
That was the point of writing it as there are still so many people that shell out full price or even worse pay the £5.99 per month to Microsoft.
What is the full price for 12 months Gold in the US?
I love this game, but I do agree that it has a few areas that need work. Hopefully these will come via updates and the game will evolve in to something that offers a more complete MP experience.
Although I would like to see more Titan models, I am pretty happy with the Ogre setup I have. Once you unlock all the weapons and perks, it's a pretty satisfying Titan to use.
I'd like to see a bit more variation on the map design as they all seem very similar...
