It is and it will, exclusives is a major factor when deciding on a new console, just look at xbox now that you can play everything on PC a lot of people are just going to stick with their PC and not have to go buy the console, where as if xbox hadn't done that and some really good exclusives came out (wishfule thinking) they would be tempted to go out and buy the console.
I wouldn't get my hopes high on the first batch of ps5 games so early on. I'm sure they will be impressive but nothing that will blow our minds away. I'd rather start the comparison process with the best looking ps4 games in a couple of years or (mid gen) after ps5 release, remember it takes a while for deves to get accustomed with the new machines. I'm sure we will see a few (knack) unimpressive games early on.
There is a lot more than graphics going on next gen, besides all the extra processing power raytraycing alone will make a huge difference and look more realistic especially in dark areas where light is reflected. Than we have ssd which not only make load times faster but will be able to make a more detailed and lively environment. I am very excited for what's to come next gen.
Better start pre ordering when its available or you could always go on the hunt and fight a weak old lady for it on good ol black Friday, who doesn't like a good ol ruffle and shed a little blood on black friday, then you can hang the box in you living room wall as a trophy.
Since a kid ever been able to get into pokemon even though it was extremely popular back then with the show and playing cards. I guess the countless stupid looking characters that keep repeating their name just wasn't for me, but everyone else enjoy.
They've gained my trust, I'm all good with their decision. Now how about they start on code veronica or dino crysis for ps5 already, keep them remakes coming baby.
I will never even bother with these type of games. All I play is single player campaigns because of time restrictions. Currently working 12hr shifts, managing family time with two kids, and bodybuilding as a main hobby. I canceled game pass because I was charged 30$ in two months when I started playing shadow of the tomb raider and I was barely even able to complete it in that time frame so basically it would have been better if I had just bought the game for around 15$.

Is this a serious question? we or at least I want to know so that I can estimate how much more processing power than current gen we will get for the next 8+ years and than make a fair guess of will be possible for next gen. Well at least that's my take on it, I know theres other ignorant people who just think about this childish supposedly war that's going on and want to choose sides and bragg about there preferred plastic box.
Would really likel a darker more mature batman with blood and dismemberment and all for ps5, of course it would never happen because batman isn't like that.
Same here that game was amazing. If they do make a sequel for Ps5 imagine how fricken awesome it would be with all that extra horspower. With SSD no more long load times to respawn after death, more emersive and detailed environment, smarter AI, raytraycing, epic detailed bosses, 3d sound ,adaptive heptic feedback, 4k 60fps (hopefully). Plus all the other features we still don't know about yet.

Did you all actually even skim through the article? He's saying that the advantage is that the 100+ million people that bought the Ps4 will most likely prefer to jump to the the Ps5 since they will be able to carry all of their game library over since it will be backwards compatible.

So besides all the great things we know about the ps5, there's still some major features that haven't been announced yet, interesting. Maybe something to do with VR, maybe a touch screen on controller or backwards compatibility with all previous playstations, we will know soon enough, the hype is ...
Hahah, dude or mam... heheh...if sony wanted to get some headlines and attention they would have unvailed a tiny glimpse of the ps5 which would have broke the internet, they've barely shown the ps5 logo and the media and everyone's attention is flocking towards it. Sales figures speak for themselves I don't even have explain it any further we all know which is the way more popular console.
Sea of thieves doesn't peak my interest but I do have much respect for Rare they brought me great joy as a child, hope the best for them.

I get what you're saying but it's not the same, story driven games are a unique experience they are relaxing and help relieve stress especially when I have a rough day at work. A slow movie might put me to sleep because I can't interact within it where as a game I'm engaged to unvail a story as I progress within the game, heavy rain comes in mind as well as beyond two souls which I really enjoyed.
Not going to be as impressive (tech wise) if its considerably less powerful, hoping it's on par or close, will still buy one though.
