GTA 5 has proven the industry has changed whether you like it or not. They make millions per year just in the online part. So instead of complaining get yourself into PC agming and play the other 5,000 titles available.
I don't think Microsoft is going to start revealing numbers now. They will say demand is high of course. One thing is Microsoft is much better at distribution than Nintendo who have always been terrible.
Yup. Lots of games available right away unlike the competition had for launch. It is also showing its power right away for older titles and load times and impressive upgrades over last generation titles, FOR FREE.
Fads dont have a million people playing every day. A fad is something people grow tired of quickly, this game keeps growing and has the most players actually playing it.

They already are, it's why publishers such as Ubisoft is so profitable. This is a busniess market, not a charity, and most people against this idea hang out in forums because they are the most involved (hardcore).
The fact is most gamers are pretty casual and don't let these things bother them. Publishers have access to so much data now and can follow gamers habits better.

It is only sad and disturbing if we didn't have much choice. There are thousands of games out there yet some of you can't seem to ignore the fact AAA titles are going to continue to monetize the market. A market that has become pretty much ruthless with spending on marketing going out of control and budgets going out of control. A game like Destiny for example employees hundreds of people per year.

Panello is right, most developers would rather push the hardware with visuals and Insomniac are the ones who did their own testing on it. Ratchet and Clank used to be 60fps but they found out it had no impact on sales but visuals did.
