I mean, if it wasn't already obvious how biased he is, it became all too obvious after he accidentally revealed he sold out to Microsoft when he agreed not to do comparisons of console vs PC. He sold any journalistic integrity by not refusing and then doing the comparison anyway.
The whole eurogamer network has the same level of credibility as windowscentral. But at least windowscentral is clear about where they stand unlike eurogamer.
Of course, eurogamer put a negative spin on what he says. He doesn't say "it has a way to go before every feature fans want is included" he says "there are interesting, exciting, fantastic ideas on the list"
This is spinning what he said into making it sound like he's saying things are going to take a long time. And maybe they will, but that is clearly NOT what he said anywhere in the interview.
So they can't even get Borderlands 1 tech in the game before launch.
Supposedly 6 years and 500 million budget and this is the result. I don't understand how everything Microsoft does seems to turn out so unfinished and lacking. Everything seems so mismanaged, I still don't understand how Phil could have been so confident the game was going to launch last year when so much of the game is still incomplete a year later.
One FPS dropped isn't a stutter, at worst is just the DRS taking a fraction of a second to catch up. The pre-rendered cut scenes run at a lower FPS by design. And it doesn't cause any issues in game, they look fantastic.
It really sucks they are trying to make this a subscription. Especially when they already have a subscription. These games should be sold as a bundle to keep for about $20
Ah, you're right Pockchop, my favorite part of the video is when he uses his frame counter to talk about the "annoying engine issues"when his frame counter drops to 59 fps briefly.
I mean 59 fps, clearly the game is almost unplayable...
This guy can get bent, I am playing the game on my PS5 and my experience has been flawless. Zero of the "issues" he talks about are even noticeable to me when actually playing the game. I wouldn...
So after Microsoft called this a "AAAA studio" and went on to make comments about how they were going to surpass Naughty Dog ect. but then can't even finish their own game shouldn't be commented on at all?
Ya know, perhaps if Microsoft had set realistic expectations and not ran their mouths about AAAA and talking down Sony's studios, this wouldn't be such a big deal. You have to understand that Microsoft own words and actions are mostly to blame ...
CD certainly has a better track record than Microsoft. So I guess all things considered, the chances of it being a great game have probably improved quite a bit.
