IW have made some wrong moves of late but let's not assume this will be premium content since there is no evidence of yet to suggest it is. A couple of playlists were added post release that were free so there's no need to assume this will be any different. To the poster who feels that this generation has been full of ranters I believe the prevalence of the internet is to blame for that. It's brought out all the gaming martyrs with their boycott this and I call bs that....

If is has co-op it should be on and off line. Personally I prefer online so I can have the fullscreen.

I had to commemt when I read that cos I was just telling my mate the same thing today! I love me some COD4 but in the heat of battle accuracy doesn't seem to count for too much. Its one of the very few blemishes on an otherwise impeccable game. In an attempt to land more head shots I generally aim for the hip up - only to be killed cos my killcam revealed I'm hitting air?!
If I had to guess (and based on those apparent responses from our Japanese bretheren you pretty much have to)I would say it's most likely story. Most FPS and TPS fans, myself included, like to find that sweet spot where smooth control schemes meet functional/slick interfaces with a splashing of good graphics and sound effects. I almost forgot amongst all these positive reviews of MGS4 that the retail disc will also have the tactically focused Metal Gear Online!
But I thought I read somewhere that the HD-DVD version was slightly gimped in the sound department due to a lack of storage space on the disk. Apparently the difference is insignificant unless you have a superior audio system.
Simply put, I think they release new installments way too often. At this point I feel a lot of people are buying the new COD's just so they aren't left behind by the online community. There was a time when people were abandoning WaW because a huge amount of people were still playing COD4, considered to be the better game. But now that the updates are yearly this isn't nearly as viable and in order to keep up you gotta cough up!
