Oh, thank God I'm gonna se Latino zombies! I felt so oppressed by videogames until today when I will finally be represented by seeing a rotten version of a brown skin color. Life changing!
No, they're not working for free. In the video game industry only upper management isn't paid hourly, which means that overtime is indeed paid for most workers. Any accounts that it is not is either anecdotal or fabricated. Especially if you're talking about a triple A studio.
That's 100% not true. Indie developers are statistically more likely to crunch then triple A developers are. Just read any book or story about successful indie games and you'll see how gruesome the development cycle was for those games. Most triple A games go on without a hitch. The media just makes a big fuss about the few, so it seems like the whole industry is made out of crunch, which it isn't.

The sales is something most people don't know about. PS3 sold a lot more then the Xbox 360 in the later years, and eventually surpassed it by a few tens of millions.
I don't think so. That would take an insurmountable amount of coding, not to mention actually introducing new design elements and blockers/safeties to support the type of gameplay. This just sounds like it's the traditional FPS experience, but in VR.
I suspect people will be profoundly disappointed because they're expecting HL Alyx and will be getting an amateur mod of a 15 year old game in VR.
You said it all! Even if you didn't use the hand holding missions to finish the game and you figured it all out yourself through the clues or whatever, there is still only 1 way to finish the game. There is no alternate clever way to get all visionaries killed on one loop.
I really enjoyed this game, but was very disappointed because ultimately I thought this would be a spiritual successor of Mooncrash, which I loved and thought was the natural evolution of Arkane'...
Probably because you didn't follow the LINEAR mission structure they give you. The game is so confusing and convoluted that if they don't hold your hand throughout the whole thing, your experience becomes repetitive and boring. But if you follow the missions, one after the other, in a linear fashion, you'll experience an interesting 7-10 hour story. Which makes this the more linear game they have ever made.
I hope MS gives the Dishonored franchise to a different studio, a studio that respects the IP and actually wants to make this game. These people (with all due respect) became too arrogant with all their success throughout the years and now just want to make artsy, groundbreaking games. Things players don't care about. I care about being entertained with an interesting experience, I don't care about their ego. So a smaller studio, with something to prove, and a love for the IP could do...
Is this a joke? Deathloop is the most linear game they've ever made. They literally spoon feed you step-by-step what to do or else you get lost. It's proof that this game design they supposedly have so much fun making is broken and unplayable without holding the player's hands.
In addition, who even played the multiplayer? What a waste of development time and creative man power.
And all of this is coming from someone who really enjoyed Deathlo...
"Millions" is a HUGE overestimate, my guy. There are better ways to defend this game, to which I'd be on your side and agree with you on. But to say that it'll sell well is kind of fantastical.
This game ruined the Resident Evil franchise by making it into an action game. Can we stop praising this garbage, please? We already have Gears of War and Call of Duty. Thank god we got the true survival horror Resident Evil back after over a decade of action oriented nonsense thanks to this game.
This is a 5 year old game, people. You're telling me that if the devs had another 5 year old, on top of the already 6 year old development cycle, they couldn't have made the game look better on the more powerful consoles? Seriously? Are we all going to be this obtuse just to pander to Nintendo?
This guy trying to run with all that cargo and tripping everywhere just seems like he should have been reviewing Modern Warfare and not Death Stranding.
That comparison made no sense. Lmao
Here's what you sounded like: "That's like going to McDonalds and texting Pizza Hutt."

I'd 100% get a PS Vita 2 since they'd probably have more then just games that were released a decade ago.
You can literally play 90% of Switch games if you time travel to 2010.
@darthv72 you mean NA was the saving grace for the Xbox. Since, you know, the PS3 outsold the Xbox in every other region in the whole world. lol

Yes, please. This arcady shit should have been kept buried in the early 2000's.
