I think that judgment is left best reserved till after E3, but
how can everyone be so sure Rare is definitely releasing a game this year, considering they released two at the end of last year and it usually takes at least two years to create a quality game.

You get the feeling though that ND would not consider MP if they thought the quality of the SP would be compromised in any way. I think the SP will be better than the first, with the addition of MP will make U2 an awesome package overall!!
This could go down as the E3 that returns the show to its past glory. If Sony show up with this many announcements its sure to blow everyone away.
Difference is that none of those shovelware games cost remotely the same as Madworld would have...

Don't tell the fanboys that. They still believe Killzone 2 took 10 years, 100 million dollars and 1000 strong development crew to pull it off.
That could make sense, seeing as Clank is in his current situation. We'll have to wait and see.
Looks like damage control has started early. By the time the game comes out it will be slightly more than a year, with completely improved visuals, gameplay and added content. Sounds like a good trade off, especially when PS3 owners have got Killzone 2 and Infamous to hold them off until then. This just shows though, third party exclusives are nearly impossible to hold on to, unless they own the IP.
I think a lot of people saw this coming from a fair way away.

Good point. Just think about the total amount of install between RFOM, R@, RCFTOD, MS, MSPR, LBP, Killzone 2 and Uncharted. Very few if any.
