If you only follow the main quest and dont do any sidequests then the games i mentioned are short as well (Fallout3 main quest is 6 hours, and oblivion is 11 hours).
Games like Mass effect have loads of sidequests, and they are meant to be played, cause games like Mass effect are called non linear rpg's, where games like final fantasy and dragon quest are linear rpg's (and thus have a longer plot).

Well, Mass effect 2 do is one of the most technically impressive games on the list (besides FF13).
You can do all the hating you want, cause its on the 360, but the sheer amount of time, money and people going on Mass effect 2 is impressive, and shows thats its a top title.
So who cares if you like Mass effect 2 or not, its one of the biggest rpg projects of 2010, dismiss it, and noone will take you seriously anymore.(besides a bunch of 12 year old fanboys).

NO, i can see that 3d environments are superior to flat backdrops.

O wow, one whole popin in a demo.
There was 4 minutes worth of Forza footage and you fall over one popin that lasted half a second.
Theres a good reason why GT5 doesnt have any popins, its cause it doesnt have a 3d backdrop, its just a 2d rotating picture, you cant have popins with that.
IMHO, GT 5 looks dull, Forza got a very rich environment and a great field of depth, i am missing that in GT.
The colors are also a bit dull, sports cars usually look warmer.
