To MS its not a big deal since the developers always makes the better version on the 360. On the other hand Sony, badly needs exclusive to attract gamers and keep their business afloat.

Isn't this what was said about PS3? That it is technologically superior to the Xbox 360 but it took years for it to catch up to the 360's sales and developer support.
Sony cant afford to buy the Xbox brand.
