You people are hilarious; you're acting as if someone just pushed your grandmother down the stairs. Sony is just another multi-billion dollar corporation that cares only about removing you from your hard-earned money.
Good god you people love beating a dead horse. Apparently, n4g is populated with scores of Sony and Microsoft shareholders.
Two things struck me while reading some of the comments in response to this article.
1. Unless n4g is home to hundreds of out-of-work computer science majors, the vast majority of those leaving agrees and disagrees can't possibly have an educated opinion about "tessalizing" and other high-falutin' graphics terminology.

I'm assuming that all of you blaming FFXIII's problems on the fact that it was not PS3 exclusive also felt that last generation's multi-platform games were diminished by the PS2's inferior hardware. Right?
I agree that the PS3 version looks and performs better, which is why I purchased it. How many N4g posters currently touting the Lens of Truth's verdict have previously claimed they are biased in favor of Microsoft, though? When the LOT declares the 360 as the winner, it is the result of an anti-PS3 conspiracy; however, when the PS3 is the winner, then all is right with the world.

I'll be playing great games on all three consoles today while you continue to argue about things that don't matter.
NO single format is needed. As an owner of all three systems, as well as a high-def setup, I agree that Blu-Ray is my preferred format. However, Bayonetta looks amazing on my 360 and Super Mario Galaxy is one of my favorite games of all time. Not once did I find myself feeling cheated while playing those games.
While you people continue to argue about which greedy corporate juggernaut or proprietary storage format is more deserving of your loyalties, I continue to enjoy good...

The fact that EVERY article of this ilk is guaranteed to get hundreds of responses only ensures that honest efforts at game journalism will get pushed far to the back.
It's as bad as listening to political bickering. The lack of intelligent dialogue here perpetuates the stereotype of gamers being self-absorbed, introverted nerds.

It amazes me how personally most of you take any criticism directed toward your favorite console. What have any of the three console manufacturers done to earn such unwavering loyalty on your part? Why do any of you care how much either console is selling? Do sales affect the quality of the games that you enjoy? Microsoft is ahead and Sony is catching up; does it matter? The PS2 outsold the Xbox; does that make Jet Set Radio any less fun to play? Will Killzone 2 become a better game if the PS3 overtakes the 360?
