Vista is a rip off when it came out Jan of 2007 months before OS X launched in Oct. of 2007. Plus these kind of features aren't just ripoffed from competitors and put in the last minute.

I've already proven that my copy of Vista used the same amount of RAM as my copy of XP even with everything turned on.

I'm using a 5yo Compaq with Vista w/o a problem. You don't need a high end computer.
iPods are packed with DRM to? BTW I've had my Zune 30 since launch w/o a problem.
