It all comes down to people and how they play games. take me for example I have 29 plats, sure some games I played for plats only but day 1 buy games I have are meant to be enjoyed and played. and yours sounds like a personal problem to me as well. while you might like those 3 ms games other people might like ps3's games. at the end of the day you can not deny that ps3 offers more variety and while ms offers rehashed ips every other year i mean 2006 gears, 2007 halo 2008 gears and fable 2009 halo, halo forza, 2010 halo, fable. wow im excited for this game. you know the strange thing is that 2 months ago there was abosolutely no hype for this game, some people even doubted if it was going to come out; what with all the complaints about overworking and spouse intervening with letters. I knew about this game last year and now am glad that more people have heard and are equally excited about it.

sure if you see the console sales worldwide the ps3 outsell the xbox by 100 to 200k a month so let say in january xbox sold 700k worldwide and ps3 sold 850k worldwide. sure the xbox isn't going flat but the ps3 is adding an extra 150k more than the xbox on a supposedly monthly basis. now lets say that this happens for the rest of the year at this pace. anyone remember how many slip ups gta dlc had before it was confirmed how about mass effect? trust me if there is another slip up on conviction it will more than likely make it to the ps3. what is even more surprising is that the ps3 outsold the 360 in europe by over a million units maybe more but here is the real kick. the ps3 didn't come out in europe till about a year and a half after the 360 launched. its pretty telling of how the rest of the world sees the ps3 and also shows that usa is the 360's last stronghold.
yeah I hate when reviewers talk about games like we all agree that the game needs inovation or that too much of the same is too much already. I mean when the hell did they decide for us? some of these reviewers are to nitpicky! I would love to see their lifestyle to see if they were as nitpicky in life as they are in the reviews. What happened to reviewing games in an objective way and review them for what they are. the most dominant ones are ign, gametrailers, and gamespot to some extent...
For me its GowIII till we see LBP2 or Last Guardian.
when a game goes above and beyond whats been done in terms of epicness and graphical quality and craftsmanship how can it not get game of the year. the story is great and GowIII always manages to please the player with brutatily and top notch gameplay. As an overall package GowIII delivers on all fronts. the only people that disagree are people that never took GowIII seriously or never played it.
