You're missing the bigger picture, many people bought xbone for its exclusives, if you can play its "exclusives" without buying an xbone it makes the console irrelevant. That may not bother you personally but I guarantee you it bothers a lot, hence the negative reaction. Personally I'm fine with it, I dont own xbone and would never waste a dime on it but I get to play its exclusives now if I want so its a win win for me.
Semantics, anyone can get Windows 10 if they want it, its a free upgrade.

People buy a console primarily to play exclusive games, when those exclusive games can be played on the PC you already own, and look and play way better, there's no need to waste money on the console.
I appreciate Microsoft continually giving me reasons not to buy their console. This is the best decision they've made this gen by far. If people are so blind as to not be able to see the writing on the wall here then all I can do is pity them. The xbone has become irrelevant and even Microsoft knows it at this point.
No it means you can play PS4 games on PS4 and every xbone games on your PC, therefore no need for an xbone.
