No, sorry, if you don't find it disconcerting at all that MS literally look like they don't have a clue what they're doing, and don't seem to have any faith in their business/design model, then maybe you should take another look.

I have to have a hoover pointed at my 360 at all times to pick up the amount of dust it's collecting. It is dry as a bone, just like the original Xbox late into its life cycle...
No offence, you are welcome to buy whatever you want, but if you can't reason with why people might be weary of MS's motives from the continuous bombardment of poor anti-consumer decisions, then i don't know what to say..
I am not willing to invest 400+ pounds over a 7 year period (or whatever the life cycle is) with a company i genuinely dislike because of recent decisions.. it makes me question what stunts the will pull once they have the install base they desir...

I have no doubt in my mind... The PS2 and the PS3 have had a superb life cycle. This has just been proved with arguably the game of this generation with The Last of Us being released so late into the PS3's life cycle.
PS4 will be no different.

Let's forget Sony have won 4/5 Game of the Year awards in recent memory and i'm currently playing The Last of Us which is seriously 10x better than anything on the 360, i should know because i still have one (360).
Well to be honest, i personally thought games like Uncharted, The Last of Us and God of War did look significantly better than anything on the 360, but i think that was down to the first party development teams.

As i said yes the hardware divisions (Tv's etc) are at a loss and failing to compete with the likes of Samsung, but the Playstation brand is doing well, and actually helping Sony through their current troubles. The Playstation department is all that's important when reflecting on your comments.

PS3 life cycle will last for another 6-7 years, come back when those numbers are revealed.
360 life cycle is near enough done.. No exclusives coming out (same as the past few years - dry as a bone).

Sony is only in financial trouble with regards to its hardware divisions, its entertainment divisions are actually doing very well, so none of what you said makes any sense..

Microsoft need to stick to their guns, get a grip... They need to instil a bit of confidence into the public with the face they actually believe in what they are doing and that they can be trusted.
