Yep, and when new consoles launch it will be the exact same as now. PC guys bashing consoles because the hardware is outdated and holding back games. Tech moves to fast for the average person to keep up, most people don't want the hassle. I used to constantly update my PC years ago but long since stopped. Exactly this. Does it matter how much potential hardware has when no one is using it? Why look at 2015, current tech has tons of potential but it isn't even utilized and consoles are hardly to blame. There are tons of PC exclusive developers out there. Didn't Nvidia give a huge chunk of cash to Crytek and it was supposed to be the flagship game to showcase DX11 potential. What happened there? 8GB is overkill but given how cheap RAM is I don't know. Then again, a new console will cost enough as is so adding excessive RAM will just add to the cost. And yeah you can buy PC's with that amount of RAM but you know how much stuff would have to be running to use that much?
FPS aren't bad but I admit there are way too many. Would be nice to see more genres. Main reason I have the PS3. Lots of variety.
Not sure how well an FPS orientated company would do in this day and age with only catering to the PC. Years ago sure but now PC is more MMO, RTS, Indie type stuff. FPS is still played but console is the main platform today.

I think the main issue devs see with developing with PC as lead and making the graphics top notch is that the PC gaming market is smaller when you compare it to the two consoles so will all that extra effort and time be worth it and pay off? Just my opinion.
It also makes people wonder what the point of buying a Wii is when a new console is coming.

Ah, I remember those days long before the Internet was popular and you had to rely on magazines for walkthroughs, cheats etc lol.
What looks old to you? I game on both PC and PS3 and yeah PC games look better but the difference isn't so much where it takes away from the gameplay and it's hardly like comparing PS3 to PS1 games.
Given the success of the Wii I don't think motion controls will be going away.
I will just wait and see. Last Nintendo console I owned was SNES and a N64 briefly before I picked up the PS1. All the casual type games aren't really my cup of tea.
So tempted to pick them up but I'm not sure how much I will play them given both MK and Portal 2 coming out this week and then Brink, LA Noire, and whatever else in May. I already have a huge steam backlog and already played these games a while ago lol.
