DVD is and isn't a problem. DVD is what PC games ship on. If the 360 had a huge HD you could just do game installs like on PC. But there is also the issue that MS charges extra money for every game disc.
Move support isn't needed for L4D but I wouldn't argue with a L4D collection coming to PS3 :)
And twisted metal isn't in development either. :)

It's to be expected. All these big HD games take a substantial amount of both time and resources to make. More so than past generations.
$199 for that bundle? No way. $249 best case scenario.

Would suck if true. Same thing happened with Kinect. Specs were downgraded to save on costs.
They have learned from their mistakes as can already be seen with the NGP. PS4 will be easy to develop for just like PC/360
I think Sony will make it easier for devs next time around like they have learned to do with the NGP.
I'm really interested in the NGP. I just hope they have a good launch line up. I also want to know if some games that may have launches on both PS3/NGP can be played on PSN cross platform. For instance, I know they said COD (I know I know) would go to NGP so does that mean we can play with PS3 users too?
Next xbox could very well be out by then.
I think a lot will depend when MS announce/release their next console. Also the next Nintendo console may force both to release early too...who knows.
I think it's hard to say a release date. I don't know if Sony wants to give MS another year head start next gen. We don't yet know MS's next xbox release date but I think next time around they will be closer together.

I wish Sony would bundle headsets w/ the PS3 like the 360. Even if they were something cheap it would make team based games a bit better as more people would have a headset.
