Umm what ? People still play UT and Quake... UT2004 still has over 1k people playing and its 10 years old lol + they haven't released new versions of those games. A new UT is being developed, I don't know about quake tho. Theres quake live which is still being played

Its not hard to understand lol, convenience and brand recognition. Plus those steam machines are a little diff than normal PC's, its easier to install upgrades and steam's vision is making all PC games run best on their OS(which you can download btw).
