Naughtydog is home to ICE team, some people forget nor know about them. TLOU:R was pretty much made for them to get familiar with the PS4 architecture and use what they got out of it for U4 development.
well the all the reviews are coming out but the network hasn't been working since launch so most reviews are based solely on the single player aspect of the game. I got the game. love it, visually stunning and solid gameplay, drifting at high speed is awesome, Ridge Racer feel with GT handling is my way of describing DC.
I dont think they need MH, Persona franchise is massive in Japan aswell and with DQ returning to PS inner circle, I think they are good.

This game online features was not ready at all, wasn't that the reason why it got delayed. Why didn't they release a beta prior to test their servers.
