Oh yeah? Tell that to Tower Records. A store completely devoted to cd. Where are they now?
Experts agree that bluray will not have the same success as standard dvd. Their are just way to many options out there that standard dvd didn't have to face. 720p digital downloads have been going on for awhile now and consumers are getting used to it. Most flat panels sold are 42 inches and lower so 720p is perfect. 1080p only matters if you have a 50 inch or higher which is probably about 0000.1% of the population.
"50 GB 1080p movies with uncompressed 7.1 sound..."
HAHA, how many people actually have the setup to support this??? LMAO. The majority of flat panels being sold are 42 inches or lower meaning their is absolute zero difference between 1080p and 720p.
Mp3's have outsold cd's for awhile now. Yeah the cd is still around but no where near the sales of mp3's.
EDIT below
Actually they're ACC but lets not confuse everybody.
Butterfinger, First of all I gave a late reply cuz I have a lil something called a life. But anyway if your watching 1080p movies on your 37 inch tv than you are sadly misinformed. You think bluray will be able to get a strong foothold in the market? How many people actually own a 1080p tv that matters? There is no way that bluray will have the same success as standard dvd just because the fact that standard dvds still sell strong and work on every tv at a low cost compared to an expensi...
Got to give it up to Microsoft. They are definitely trying harder than Sony is. Sony got caught slipping and that's why Microsoft is the home of the best jrpg's. You want to play Star Ocean you have a few things you can do: Get a 360, write up a petition and whine about it, pray and hope and maybe you'll get it sometime next year.
Well lets pick on the first Gears. The first Gears was seen as the best looking game ever at the time. So to those that say the first Gears maxed out the 360 and the sequel is the same. Well here is a quote from the new issue of Game Informer.....
"Once you pick your jaw up off the floor, Gears of War 2 reveals itself as a profound leap forward from its impressive predecessor"
The graphics and gameplay have improved and it shall continue like every othe...
You talk about "being accessible to the entire population." Tell me this. How many people out there actually have a tv that supports 1080p??? The majority of hd tvs that are being sold are in the 40-42 inch range meaning that their is absolute no difference in 720p and 1080p. This is unanimously agreed by top editors of hd magazines like Sound & Vision. You need at least a 50 inch or higher. So tell me... how many people actually have a 1080p 50 inch or higher tv out there...
Wow every character sucks. Except for ChiChi.
Completely useless.
Never did get my full 100 achievements points. I got around 980. Never could get the hard ones like ran over a dude with the mongoose or 2 for 1 with laser. BIG thanks to Microsoft to one of the greatest innovations in console history in achievements. Sure makes a lot of games just that much more fun.
COD4 dominated? UGH, another person misinformed.
Well as you can see from my avatar I love me a Zombie game. But like I said Game Informer has rated this game number 1 of E3. Beating out games like Gears 2, Fable 2, KZ2, LilBigPlanet, etc... So the excitement is definitely there.
Sounds like most experts are saying what I been saying for a long time now. Bluray will only be for the hardcore videophiles. Just like how Laser Disc was.
That's right! You better believe this is going to be another giant hit for the 360. Game Informer has ranked this game number 1 best game of E3. Damn the 360 is going to be stacked with AAA titles and monster sellers this year.
It's funny that most of the negative reviews usually say something about the frustrating control or camera while all the positive reviews say the opposite. The control scheme and camera are different and frustrating at first but after a few games you'll be kicking ass in no time. These negative reviews are obviously from gamers with short fuses.
Looks like the 360 just got themselves another beauty on their already stellar exclusive lineup.
Viva Pinata was a unique experience. Sold well and was rated very high. Rare has been doing a great job on the 360. Keep up the great work.
I guess this is Sony's answer to the 360's GTA4 exclusive episode content. I wonder which one will be more successful, LOL!
