well i paid my 1200$ laptop at staples with my credit card so i dont know. but nevertheless 12 000$ is imposible to be transfer or taken out with one transfer. clearly he already had his card maxed out or used the available amount to be taken out in 1 day. even so there would be a transaction history attached to it notifying the acount it was transfered to or if it was taken out in cash at the bank wich needs your [banking] card and pin to have access to.
