The TE2 is a GREAT stick, got my KI edition all decked out for SFV :)
Unfortunately the down side to the F2P transition for fighters which albeit is inherently good, most of the time that also means all content produced for the game needs to be playable at some point.
It's happy cause 'MERICA!
Its a fighting game, outside of characters and stages theirs not much for casual fans to see. I mean they could start breaking down the frame data for us veterans.... buuuuttttt i could see how that could kill the momentum Sony had going.
I bet we see a natural transition where the Oculus App for Windows 10 gets full functionality on the Xbox. I mean if Xbox is essentially a pre built Windows 10 machine, why wouldn't they?
Oh how I love how some of Capcoms early arcade choices snowballed into cannon. Kinda like how Poison is a transgender man.
Yeah I think it's pretty clear at this point that MS new KI would have limited appeal initially so they took advantage of that and used it to innovate in crazy ways. And with the love this game has been seeing, I think it's paid off. KI2 was the game that got me decide to become a character artist, and this reeboot is has done the classics so much justice and then some.
While we all patiently wait for the inevitable KI: Season 3 add me on XBL and let me body y'al...
@00
Completely ignoring the totally crap controls right?
@Snook
Then clearly you need to build up that Fighting game thumb of yours. Friction is friction no matter what youre thumbs gonna blister whether it's plastic or the feathers of a dove. When i began playing fighters i could play for maybe 30 minutes at a time before blisters cropped up. Now a days i dont get them even after a F250 against my sparring partner. Does it have room to improve? Of course, nothings perfect. But it is one of the most durable and responsive pads ...
Wong! Cool dude, met him up at Toryuken last year would love tomsee him get at least top 5 in KI this year at EVO his Wulf is pretty GDLK
Typically the only thing I play is fighting games and since the best way to play them is with the D-Pad I have lot's of experience with it and I gotta say. You're COMPLETELY talking out your ass, the D-Pad is fine.
What are you talking about? Tekken is a very casual appealing game, Tekken 3 is still the second highest selling fighting game of all time. Second only to Super Smash Bros.
This only further raises the question, why is the tournament standard system not already PC? Like seriously, why is any console allowed to be the focal system if a game is also on PC?
@poor
Yeah she's just one of the many Transforming/Rushdown/Keepaway /MixUp/Robotic fighters that every game has like 20 of....
Haha been loving this so far have one of the higher ranked Spinal shdaows in the world and I would love to see this incorporated into story mode. Like take the shadow data of yourself but have the system make it better, and then you have to fight the perfect version of yourself! :D
@Reginald
it's a technology demonstration applied to a now completely open source game. Somehow I'm not surprised Duke University didn't fund the development of a brand new AAA game with cutting edge graphics just to demonstrate their backend technology...
Here's where I would usually say something along the lines of if your really serious about framerate and resolution you'd buy a gaming PC. BUT something tells me that Sony has their shaft so far up your crank that you care about the difference between 900 and 1080, but not 1080 and 4k.
Yup! Loving Shadows mode though, already have my Spinal shadow in the top 5.
As long as I see KI Season 3 we're good.
As a Kan-Ra main I knew exactly what Sleep was doing at that moment, sure he does no chip damage, and it was risky to get in, but let Kan-Ra build 2 bars of shadow and it was GG
