Apart from the 4k and HDR support which does not improve gaming nothing much has really changed.
If this was the other way around I am sure you would be praising Sony with the Neo and saying the the Scorpio is a weak POS.

Phil already made it clear that this is not the next gen XBox and its more of a service that they did for developers because many where complaining about not having enough power to make the game that they truly visioned without sacrifice.
Think of the Scorpio more like the Mac products from Apple where you have differen...

Isn't every technology pretty much outdated on the first year of release...that's why phones and tablet are released almost evey year.
Plus Phil stated that this is a new console or new gen console...its an XBox 1 4.5 which is meant to give the developers more power to make the games they want...let's be real here, the PS4 and XB1 were weak from launch were maxed out in the second year of release.

So because MS caught Sony off guard with a 6 teraflop console vs the Neo 4.5 console it now has to be compared with the XB1 S which is basically a slimer version of of the XB1.

So if Sony had announced the Neo with the same or more teraflops then that would have been OK to compare to the Scorpio -_-
Credit has to be given to the new MS CEO as well.
He is the one who makes the final call on everything and clearly he sees a bright future for the XBox brand.

Phil stated 40K 60fps but I think it will depend on the game like you stated and also the developer.
I can see Halo and Forza pushing 4K 60fps.
UTH11 - the Neo will be announced at the PS experience so it should all balance out in the end.

This kind of puts Sony in a bad spot since MS is running with the 'No one gets left behind" slogan and Sony is pushing PS Now.
I wouldn't be surprised if MS take that slogan a bit further and announce next E3 that the original XBox games atr now comptatable as well.

Exactly... People act as if the Vanilla XB1 promised VR and that the XB1 fans baught it for VR games.

Well Oculus Rift is a most wanted thing from gamers so I don't see why not take advantage of that.

Sony showed some awesome games.
Spider Man and God of War are on my most hype games list right now since I am a huge Spider Man fan and love Insomniac games.
