This is why gamers are objecting to games as a service/excessive monetisation, you've milked the customer for a year and then expect them to buy a whole new game the next year where none of your cosmetics, characters or progress carries over.
At least in an MMO where these models are inspired from, people can sit in the comfort knowing the title will still be supported for years to come...
There's about 5 different means of playing this game (two different editions and subscription service options), with anything not under EA's subscription service losing out on an early start.
EA is basically forcing you to choose between having an in game skin and starting an MMO-lite later, or starting earlier and not having the skin. This is very scummy, are they also expecting people to double dip for both?
Can we PLEASE not go back to the era ...
I'm not sure why you're getting disagrees, Marvel's popularity has certainly massively boosted through the recent years. No doubt people who never played the first games will be picking this one up, even out of curiosity... This would be true regardless what system it's on.
Tressa is better than Primrose
Who said anything about "GURL"? That's kind of ignorant to assume of you yourself.
How about the lack of content at launch and changes to both TTK and core mechanics like spotting to name a few?
Alpha stages are very early builds that are still heavily in development.
A game in an alpha build should not be ready for at least 6-12 months minimum depending on the scope of the project and development speed.
Something as big as anthem? If it's a build presented a month before the official final demo build then we've gone beyond beta stage at this point. What that was, is an early peek.
Excuse me but didn't the gave have a "closed alpha test" in December? And now a little over a month later we're having the a demo of the final release?
That isn't how alphas work EA.
The Vita is a niche system that is weaker than any hardware that P5 is currently on. It is also in the process of being discontinued, with production and card production gradually being halted.
Not only would it take Atlus a significant amount of work to downgrade the title to fit onto the Vita, but the effort would barely be worth it given the Vita is not a popular system and it does not have much life ahead of it (even though I love it to bits mind). It makes a very poor ...
Honestly the online is the biggest offender for me. Even when they've improved preferred rules matchmaking, I'm still getting paired with people who set their preferences as battlefield stages.
I really, really dislike battlefield variants. Platforms just don't work well in the game, you can't dodge off them and they screw over certain up specials (Incineroar, Dedede) and some other moves (Diddy's banana). I can't even put it as a negative preference.

I understand why people vote for the big blockbuster titles, but honestly as a fan of RPG games Octopath Traveler was a breath of fresh air and my personal GOTY.
At the least I'm a bit irritated it didn't get best soundtrack/sound design in any of these awards. The soundtrack is exceptional and arguably the best out of any game to have released this year: Hell it's the only game this year that still has me actively listening to the soundtrack.
I don't want any of that though, and co-op can be achieved without forcing the player always online.
There is also such a thing as offline co-op.
The funny thing is the tweet linked in that article says Yakuza 0 will only ever be on PS4. "No Switch. No PC."
Scroll down 5 seconds into the history and you can see a screenshot of the Yakuza 0 store page on Steam. Times change.
Yes Joker from Persona 5, that's the title he appeared in. Just like Cloud from FFVII, the title he's appeared in.
That doesn't change anything however, both Final Fantasy and Persona have been present in Nintendo's history, and their developers have worked closely with Nintendo for a significant period of years.
Joker is more than just Persona 5, just like Cloud is just more than FFVII; Joker represents Persona, he represents SMT, he represents Atl...
"Persona is exclusive to PS it always was."
No it isn't. Revelations: Persona (a mainline Persona at that) was also available on the PC.
Persona Q & Persona Q2 are exclusively on the 3DS.
P4A and P4AU were both available as arcade games and on the Xbox 360.
Furthermore "it always was" is a pretty bad argument when there's been a substantial change to Atlus within the past few years. They're now under Sega's...
"and no… spin-off appearances don’t count."
Uh, yes they do count. Joker may not be very prominent on Nintendo systems but he has appeared on them, and like Cloud he represents a series that have appeared on Nintendo systems.
Hell Persona IS a spinoff series, so it makes no sense to move goalposts; Persona is a spinoff from Shin Megami Tensei, which is VERY prominent on Nintendo systems and continues to release on Nintendo systems to this day.
...
Smash doesn't need most of those listed, a lot don't even have any connection to Nintendo. Why would they put Geralt in when there's never been a single Witcher game or Witcher spinoff on any Nintendo system?
Or hell, why would they put him in when Cdprojekt have never released a game on a Nintendo system once? At least Cloud is from a series with a lot of connection to Nintendo, and there have been 3DS Persona spinoffs (one of which Joker appears in).
They've got a lot of problems and they're not all addressed in this one post, but for an example of their disgusting ways please refer to this Reddit comment which properly sources its arguments.

Tencent owns 40% of Epic Games. I want Steam to have competition but I don't want to support something as shady as Tencent.
Why are you being so pretentious, all I want is a story without something being shoved down my throat, that's entirely possible.
Expansions aren't always yearly, often every two years. And the difference is that they're both optional and keep your progress.
They also don't always cost the same as an entire new game.
