Reread the last paragraph!
Hey guys, thanks for reading. If you like the blog, please subscribe and share the post! Because I don't have a sizable audience I don't receive much feedback. Appreciate every reader. :)
Oh no, of course not. But it's worth reiterating again and again.
You see, the reviews were categorically divided. Dtoid gave it a 30 while GameInformer gave it an 88. To be fair, the 30 came from Jim Sterling, known for his callousness. It's the staying power that RE has which Capcom is playing on.
True. But Capcom doesn't care either way. Frankly, they could tarnish the good name of RE and the series would still sell into the millions.
The thing is, at least in the video game world, the Resident Evil brand is so ubiquitous it's hard to see it disappointing. Whether it lives up to the standards of games past isn't up to me, but the sales numbers will resonate with everyone. And it will sell well.
There's a lot more that goes into a game then just simple YouTube clips. Whether the story is worthwhile, for one. You wouldn't want to waste $60 on a game without assurance that game is indeed worth the purchase.
I mention this at the end of the post.
The developer's antics have nothing to do with the actual product itself, and to think that Telltale's behaviour is any reflection of just how fantastic the episodes are is ludicrous. I agree that their conduct has been atrocious, but the episodes are fantastic nonetheless.
Sadly I can't get this until next month or closer to Christmas.
Thanks! I like to think my pathetic interviewing skills aren't so pathetic.
Wait, 154 people have publicly liked this on Google Plus? o.O
While SWTOR was a massive project, I think investors emphasized its influence too much, although expectations were abnormally high. The outset looked great: reputative studio, established fanbase, solid IP, voice acting, and a massive budget. That first patch hindered the game more than people realize and 25% of the fanbase flocked to other titles.
The free-to-play model may actually work the same way it did for LOTRO, a game that saw profits triple in the first three months ...
Jesus, if you want "innovation", don't look to the horribly stagnated console industry. Look at indie or mobile.
Yeah, really sad about quickly things can be blown out of proportion.
The "great games" part is the name of the ongoing series I'm doing, actually. It is more directed at the latter half of the year, but if you believe game reviewers know what they are talking about, this year is one of the best on record for outstanding releases. Just out of the few I mentioned, 80% of those average 8.5 or higher on Metacritic and an average score of that caliber is sensational.
VonAlbrecht, I own Battlefield 3 but I haven't bothered to play through it. I refuse.
I don't see why everyone is crying about this. It's universally known the Xbox's hardware is limited, and having the game on two discs means there's just that much more content to sift through.
Fanboys this generation are especially cynical.
I don't think the Wii U's controller is really innovative. It's a novel idea, but not revolutionary. The controller reminds me too much of the tablet, and essentially shares the design. A tablet with buttons.
This article is just flamebait. Don't bother clicking.
