Having had a PS3 since its launch in the UK, I've never been overly impressed by the speed acheived by the PSN. Downloads have always taken an age to complete and it is the reason why I don't do as much downloading through the PSN as I possibly would if the speed was comparable to what I get through my desktop and laptop PCs that are connected on the same network.
