@TDBtrl,
... and no cooling. tut tut, your superb pc will last minutes ;)
@TDBtrl,
A PC for 455 bucks without a motherboard. Fascinating.
:(
, and although most games are fiction, some are based around events in history. Are we saying then that games should not represent historical events, because they depict warcrimes? Should war games virtually deny events such as the holocaust? - I think not.
I played the 'No Russian' level on MW2, and I felt uneasy playing it, but to me thats a good thing, because it makes you stop and think about how terrible real world terrorist acts are.
for £32. Lol at all those people who pre ordered and paid more!
Lol! where are the 128bit cpu's to run it on? And what benefit would the average pc user gain from having a 128bit OS? it will be some time before memory restrictions of a 64bit OS is hit for consumer use.
... if you want an iPhone 3GS!
"Jenkins also went onto say that, like much of the Xbox 360 offering, there will be options if the streaming does not work to satisfaction. This involves having the option to download selected titles and delaying the viewing until enough is buffered."
Theres the disclaimer - right there. As soon as the service launches, the majority of users will realise that they cant physically get 1080p streaming on your average broadband connection.
If I remember corre...
in that someone is switching to a real PS2.
If someone was simultaneously putting the same disc in a PS3 with BC you'd see the playstation2 logo pop up - which you dont in any of the vids hanging around the net.
Personally, I hope that its true - though I cant see Sony releasing such a feature until PS2 dies.
Sony won't release such a feature until the PS2 goes out of production.
.. but on most tv's you would get some sort of confirmation of the switch(i.e. scart1, e.t.c).
Unless of course they have hidden that somehow on the video.
I own a 60gig EU launch version, and my console shows the Playstation2 logo when starting a PS2 game. All the videos around the net dont seem to show that.
Does the original 60gig version show the logo too?
Is it because the PS3 is in service mode?
are the videos altered?
..or is it some sort of quirk with software only emulation on a 40gig?
Who knows!
It's nowhere near as advanced as a PSP in terms of games
I own both a PSP and an iPhone, and although I do have a few games installed on the mobile, the quality of them don't come anywhere near to that of the PSP in terms of graphics, sound and gameplay. Graphically, the games are more comparable to the DS - though things might improve a little in time.
In my view the PSP and DS do not have a real competitor in the form of iPhone at the moment.
its probably because they're used to 'autocomplete' in microsoft visual studio, and kacked their pants when they realise they have to code for real on other platforms!
... just been on ID's official site, and there's a small write up about Doom 4. The first paragraph reads:
"Production has begun on DOOM 4™, the next journey into the legendary DOOM universe. We are expanding our internal team and are currently hiring to work on this highly anticipated title."
Looking down the article, there is a link to the careers section, and they're looking for programmers for work on Xbox 360, PC AND Ps3.
I suppose these job...
@BFVTW,
yes - my bad, I can see it does indeed come with HS/F. Though the price of the CPU is considerably more than @TDBtrl quoted.
