Redgehammer: Stop playing the victim. It's getting redundant now.
THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO ANY COMPANY.
And if Microsoft was involved in something like this, 360 loyalists would have rushed to defend them in seconds and protect them from the big bad PS3 loyalists.
Give me a break. -_-
He can't even answer for himself. Yeah, you don't have a PS3. Give it up.
BabyTownFrolics: Some PS fans would have been playing games online instead of being involved with this. Some people would also be understandable that this can happen to *any* console and that gamers need to stand up against hackers. You talk about Sony loyalists and yet you say *NOT A WORD* to Microsoft loyalists that were just waiting for something to happen in order to spread misinformation and lies.
DK286K: funny how people will defend Microsoft to the death and yet turn around and bash another company. I'm sorry but do you have evidence of PS1's and PS2's being unreliable? Because the only think I recalled from the PS2 era was a small lawsuit. And I do recall that the PS1 was built like a rock because until this day my PS1 works.
You are the *LAST* person to bring up unreliable hardware when the RROD was the worst case scenario for hardware problems.
...
A person can sue for a missing shoe if they wanted to.
I think Sony will do well in court too. They have enough evidence to prove they did everything they could to prevent this breach from expanding.
This could have been much worse.
Without the Playstation brand, you wouldn't have the XBox brand so if you think Sony's going away any time soon, think again.
...Can someone translate what this guy just said? Because I got nothing on this. :/
Strikepackage Bravo, you keep saying that people are worshiping Sony. Why? Because they're using common sense and weighing the options as to what could have happened instead of dismissing the situation as 'Sony had crappy/shoddy security'? For heaven's sake, Microsoft has dealt with hackers as well. The Pentagon itself was hacked. Banks have been hacked.
WHY T...
Why should I send him a PM for proof? He should be a man and post the links, unless he's a coward.
I don't know why the two are compared either. One was a hardware failure and the other was a security breach.
mandf: My fattie died this year. I had it for four/five years so I know how you feel. I have a slim now. :)
I hope it's up before Blazblue CS2. I'm itching for some action. :3
Stop spreading misinformation and lies. You have no evidence to prove otherwise that people are abandoning the PS3. Unless you show evidence and link numbers, don't bother with that crap because you are WRONG.
And why should we PM you for a link? Be a man and link it here. Show how many people are migrating over to the 360.
A grown man trolling a gaming site, go figure.
...Again, why should we PM you? Be a man and link the forums.
...
Exactly. Nobody needed their help. Nobody asked for them to fight for so-called rights to begin with.
They only cared about themselves, not about gamers.
...Wow, really?
Emerge, either demonstrate a sense of knowledge and maturity regarding this topic or LEAVE.
And Joe2911, how is he right? Can *anyone* explain why it took hackers four to five years to hack the PS3? If Sony had such bad security, then why wasn't the PS3 hacked a long time ago? I really love the LOGIC of most people. Again, the Pentagon was hacked. Other companies were hacked and they had solid security. A hacker will find their way through the system one way or another....
You and me both. PS3 users have been through hell and back with this, caught in the middle in this battle between Sony and hackers.
...What does this have to do with praising/bashing Sony? What do you want people do, bash Sony? So no one has the right to say that Sony is right about something? Why does it have to equate to praising Sony? There are things I applaud Sony for and things I can disagree with.
This situation is something I applaud them for, because they took action at the right moment.
EDIT: I did read what you said. But you also cannot deny that there are trolls on this site a...
N4G would be an amazing place if that happened.
Then explain to me why it took four/five years for the PS3 to be hacked if Sony has piss poor service? Obviously, Sony must have had a secured network that it took *this* long to hack the PS3. Nothing is uncrackable. The Pentagon itself had a secured network and yet a hacker was able to get in. I could name several companies that encountered hackers and break-ins as well. You want to say they had piss poor service as well?
If you were a real gamer Blaze929, you wouldn't b...
Oh for heaven's sake!
