Tbf... Mash the button to finish an enemy isn't a qte (quick time event)... Those are actually the button prompts that come up during boss battle cutscenes to make it feel like random button presses are actually doing something.... There is a difference
Pretty sure heavenly sword had more complex system then gow. HS had two weapon modifier buttons that would significantly change your attack power and speed. Gow was mash light or heavy attack... HS did it better honestly... I just wish it was a longer better game overall

Pokken tournament isn't that big since it caters to a very niche market... Both aren't geared towards adult gamers either. Adult gamers are the biggest recurrent market.

The Tanks were smarter and meaner... Hunters couldn't pounce you from 5 feet away... You could crawl when you were down... If you looked down you actually had a damn body attached to you and not floating arms like 2 had...

You wouldn't call the old combat boring... While other people would... Who would have thought different people have vastly different opinions. I thought the combat didn't do enough after 2 to warrant anymore play throughs. I tried 3 and felt the combat lacking compared to what was then more modern action games like Bayonetta... Gow continued to play and control like a ps2 game
