Because all of the developer's time has been spent trying to fix the servers, rather than addressing the issues of the game itself. Blocking workarounds for a broken tracking system before fixing the tracking system was a big mistake. Their solution to the tracking system still isn't widely rolled out, despite having a beta fix in isolated locations for a few weeks now. They haven't mentioned when to expect Ditto and the legendary Pokemon events and people are bored of waiting....

Sony won't go with 4K Blu-rays. Same reason why Apple ditched the 3.5mm jack. Physical media (and in the case of Apple, cables) are not the direction the technical world is taking. They've just made some bold decisions to not support these formats. They've taken a lot of flak for it, but I feel like in 5-10 years time, people will look back and reflect on these moments quite differently.
You can't even buy a stand alone Sony 4K Bluray player.
