That pic is pretty misleading. One one of the games pictured got poor reviews, and one hasn't been reviewed yet.
I like the new setting, due to the fact all of the other games are set in these luxurious vertical cities. The toned down architecture is somewhat refreshing and breathes new life into the series. Plus the frontier is great. Having a great time with the game.
Wow. A shame, but not hard to believe these days. From the previews and footage it does looks like they're trying to shake up the Hitman series with this iteration. Sometimes that causes devs to lose focus completely. Without good AI and a sense of accomplishment in the end after each assassination, then what's the point of the game at all? Just another redundant action game.
That first screen is from Ninja Gaiden 3, not Sigma.
I can't tell you how many games i've traded in, then obsessively had to buy them back a few months to a year later. It pays to only buy games that you know are permanent keepers. It's a tough thing to do in this market of overhyped "must-own" games that don't end up living up.
Last Guardian can be considered vapourware at this point. No game takes this long to make, unless people are just sitting on their butts doing nothing.
I've never seen a PC hooked up to a 60 inch flatscreen. To me console gaming = luxury, convenience, and reliability. Not to mention the greatest IP's in the history of the industry at my fingertips. Can't beat it. Could care less about marginal improvements in graphics, or mods.
No, it seriously does look like a vagina.
It's getting hard to distinguish one military shooter from the next these days, due to obsession with "authenticity". I would love to see a dev shake things up and deliver a cel-shaded military shooter, Borderlands style.
Most likely reason being that they want a fair review of MP, which won't be live until launch day. They need a functioning experience so it has a chance against Black Ops 2.
With the glorious, standout exception of Dishonored, Bethesda has fallen flat on their face as a publisher. They should have recognized id's laziness on this project and intervened until it was right for the fans. The fact that there are virtually no reviews either, is testament to their lack of faith in the game. Shameful.
Some clown will post a 1 hr speedrun on Youtube a month after it launches. Personally, i'm taking a long time to finish the game. Why rush something this beautiful?
5/10? Seems generous. Seriously, after playing the demo you think to yourself "Man, that was awesome. I have to have that!", you're crazy.
Ninja Gaiden 3 was cursed due to the change in Creative Directors. Wouldn't worry about AC3.
Approx. $450 USD. A little pricey considering most of the older titles have been released in some form or another for cheap. Where's the leather jacket?
This review is obnoxious. An almost perfect score, yet no mention of the variance of gameplay and game-ending glitches.
I live with a heavy social gamer, and i can attest that they have a completely different mindset than us. They play games because someone on their friends list has challenged them through whatever game is popular that day. It then becomes their mission to try and one-up them on the score leaderboard. Kind of sounds like COD MP, but it feels different. They don't care about developers, graphics, performance, framerates, etc. It's all about beating their friends. Of course i'm...
Games are also good for kids with ADD and other attention issues. It promotes focus, concentration, task analysis, and problem solving. IMO, great for the mind.
Why is there nothing from Bulletstorm?
I think the switch to modern times with Desmond every so often is great. It breaks up the visual pace, and give you an alternate storyline to follow for a little bit. The fact that it's designed almost like a mystery is compelling and make me want to explore. It's like a meal, where you have the main entree, then off to the side is something different and delicious. It works.
