I actually fired up my 360 yesterday after a month cause I've been too busy having fun with Warhawk. I go to the display settings and guess what I see.....Reference range normal,intermediate,extended.
I set it to extended thinking "hmmmm ok they are clearly copying everything Sony does with the PS3" and my display looks like a painting when I turn on RGB full on my PS3. I thought I would see some improvement to the washed out col...

virtual gamer, xbots can't stand to hear ANYTHING positive about the PS3 because their butts are still sore from the working over the PS2 gave them last time around.
IMO it's not gonna be pretty this time around for xbox and it's fans, the PS2 wasn't even 1/100th as powerful or impressive as the PS3 is and yet it sold 120 million worldwide. By the time this console cycle is over PS3 may be the biggest selling console in history.

I've personally done the math on the amount of throughput the SPU's can handle, and it is absolutely staggering. The Cell is an absolute processing beast. People like Bloodwhateverhisname is who keep talking about the Cell not being designed for gaming are truly a sad spectacle.

my company just gave a new Dell XPS 1210 with vista business edition installed and IT IS ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS in the office. I can't use our HP designjet 500 plotter because there are no compatible drivers for it. I can't do a network discovery for printers because it crashes the explorer in vista. I can't save to the network server because there seems to be network incompatibility between vista and xp machines.I could go on all day about all the problems this OS has but it's gotten to the po...

this lends more credence to the lawsuit that was filed in seattle against them and a laptop manufacturer for selling a "vista capable" machine that was anything but. In reality it could only run the most basic form of vista and none of the 3d desktop features that IMO are microsucks latest gimmick.
it's all a matter of opinion anyway, but let me get some new batteries for my digi cam and I will post shots of both games and I will point out where Warhawk clearly outdoes Gears by a longshot.
Textures are sharper in Warhawk, as you mentioned the scale of warhawk makes gears look the size of table tennis, I see absolutely no frame jumps in warhawk while gears you pretty much have to adjust to them in order to get kills. Kind of like a guess and shoot approach since the framer...
the 360 is primarily a FPS console, is it really any surprise it's doing piss poor in the japan??

that's why I stopped playing gears, fugly frame jumps in heated combat and the stuff this article talks about was enough to make it a NOT enjoyable experience.
on the other hand I have tonssss of fun playing warhawk right now, and the graphics it boasts makes me laugh at xbots who keep talking about Gears like it's the end all be all of gaming.

at it again, even if your fantasy of 50gb DVD 9 were real what makes you think the drives in the 360 can spin fast enough to load a game like that before you have to get up the next morning??
