Why is that so hard to believe? I too have a PS4 and and gaming PC (although I wouldn't say its high end anymore)?

The thing is, it wasnt just IGN. This whole game was way over hyped everywhere on the internet. Hyped by gamers and hyped by gaming sites. It obviously hasn't lived up to it.
8.9 is an amazing score and all, but after all the hype this game got, I expected a little better than a 86 Metacritic. Not that an 86 is bad at all, just feel like the media and xbox fans treated this as the second coming, and now that its out, it isn't living up to all that hype.
I am sick and tired of people criticizing those who are early adopters. Someone needs to take the plunge. If no one did these consoles would obviously not last. So if you aren't ready to buy a console, STFU and let those who did buy one enjoy and stop trying to make them feel stupid for doing it.
The author is complaining because no one else seems to realize it isn't new. Its being way overhyped.

I'm not trying to start a PlayStation/xbox fight by bringing up a PlayStation exclusive, but killzone 3 did a lot of what titanfall is doing. they had multiplayer mechs and multiplayer jetpacks and they had mission based multiplayer with cinematics.I'm not saying its the same level as titanfall, but it's definitely similar.

I think you should try playing a linear game more than once. On multiple occasions I have actually enjoyed the game more the second time through.

I know it's not the point of the article. My response was to klecser and his statement that Sony and Microsoft are nothing more than shooting, gore and sex.
And I agree that owning a Nintendo console and at least an Xbox or PS will pretty much cover all genres quite well.

I did in fact read the article. I realize that Nintendo has more than platformers. However, Sony and Microsoft offer more than shooters even though some Nintendo fans claim that that this is not the case. Each side is greatly over exaggerated. I just personally believe that Sony has the most diverse exclusives.
Oh please, you act like Sony and Microsoft do not cater to young ages at all. Last time I checked, there has been a good amount of games aimed at younger generations that are exclusive to both Microsoft or Sony. That's why I prefer them over Nintendo. I get a good range of games that I cant from Nintendo. Nintendo generally sticks to what it has done best and what it does best is colorful, kid friendly platformers.
Nintendo makes the same games with new spins on them.
Wheres nintendos game like heavy rain, beyond two souls, flower or journey or a mature shooter or an open world sandbox game? Nintendo makes great plat-formers targeted to children and the general nintendo fan base, but they are severely lacking when it comes to games aimed at adults.
