Never played FF12 but it's a mix of an action and turn based fighting.
It's "turn-based" in that you have to wait for a circle to fill between consecutive attacks. It's similar to waiting a turn.
It's action because the enemies roam the map real time and choosing to fight with them is basically like choosing to lock-on to a target. You can run pass and ignore many enemies if you want but if you get too close they might notice you and...
WKCs1 and the version of WKCs1 on the WKCs2 disc have different battle mechanics. Because of that two people playing on the separate versions of the game CAN'T go on quest together or even join the same geo.
All you can do in-game online with each other is read message board topics and each others adventure logs.

Amazon.uk won't ship games internationally but your U.S. login does work on that site.
Decent review, seems like one of the most appropriate reviews so far and the score break down makes sense. If you like the online portion of the game replay value is through the roof so I completely agree with that part of the score.
I also agree with the comments about the music getting annoying over time because that's how I felt in the first game.
People would ask me why my Geo didn't have music and that was why. After re-making Geos, setting up co...
Why would this game have a second tutorial half way through the storyline?
In WHKs2, when you start you new game+ it starts you at wkcs1 and you run through both wkcs1&2 in their entirety. Wouldn't it be odd if you suddenly, mid-story, had to go through a tutorial mode all over again?
They really should have just left it like it was in the Japanese version where you HAD to play part 1 to play part two. Or thrown in some optional redirect that sent you...
The PSN outage...
Well I don't want to believe that but then again the Euro release was originally like May 20th which was pushed to June 10th. The U.S version is being pushed more than 30 days back though, this is lame.
I still remember when the Japanese version was releasing and they claimed we wouldn't have to wait over a year for localization. -_-
"3DS, BlazBlue Continuum Shift II, PSP"
It's a handheld game.
If you're interested in BlazBlue just jump straight to Continuum Shift. I personally lost interest in the game a while back because they charge $8 per new character released.
"Average"
Goes right along with calling it "Whitewash" >.>
Excluding MMOs, as this is clearly not an MMO, how many other Jrpgs actually have online questing?
Overall rating 5.0
Graphics 6.0
Sound 6.0
Gameplay 7.0
Lifespan 8.0
Overall 5.0
Does not compute :/
Yeah, completely agree, very Dark Cloud-ish
The signs:
"I still have no idea what the point of your own designed character..."
"This time around you can actually play with upto 5 players online to tackle the game through co-op"
"The sequel hopes to put this right along with having a Director’s Cut version of the original thrown in..."
The character is used online, that is its SOLE PURPOSE, the reviewer would know this had he paid attention. T...
This is crazy, a 3 month wait between versions that are both in English is ridiculous. I wonder what caused them to push its release back further after saying august 2 for so long?
No wonder they didn't say a solid releases date at E3 or on the trailer that came out on the PS Store during E3.
Wow, "targeting September" is HORRIBLE news!
@Review:
This review was fairly in-depth but it's a shame none of the reviewers get to try the online portion. The Georama (town) making would have made sense to him then. He also missed the Holy element, only said "fire, water, air or earth". Other than that it's a very lengthy review explaining what's good and bad about the game. Too bad more reviewers don't go into as much detail.
There is no grind in the story mode, you don't have to run around extra to level up, you just have to know the proper way to kill enemies. He's complaining that he had to go through so many monsters to get through it. Wanting an "easy" mode with less fighting, seems kinda dumb seeing as you can run pass most enemies.
Maybe that was his problem, he ran pass too many trying to rush the review so he had to go back and grind to beat a few bosses. Maybe he setup...
I noticed this a few days ago, still waiting on Amazon to up the ante, I doubt it though seeing as their site has a ridiculously incorrect released date of December 2012 at the moment.
@ the article
There's no such thing as cosmetic only armor/weapons in WKCs. The stats probably won't be great but it'll definitely have stats.
I'm honestly surprised people are still bringing up this old argument. It feels like 2009 around here again -_-
Question: There's this pointless argument about power here and to this I ask, Who's doing HD, Stereoscopic, 3D gaming and having exclusives that look noticeably better and who's loosing visuals because their sacrificing processing power to a camera peripheral?
PS3 games are getting better while *the majority* of what's coming from 360 has been downgraded in comparison to the games of its past. Gears and Halo are the only games getting proper treatment from Mic...
Why do a preview on a game that's out already? He could have just done a review and been done with it.
Maybe it was an accident, it's missing from their site now.
Is 38 pounds OVER paying? I thought all games came out around that price. :/
Foreign reviews -_-
What a headache to read.
I have a buddy that imported and is now playing on a EU psn account. You can't import your character but you can play online. WKCs2 makes Gr grinding up to Gr17 pretty easy so you could catch up pretty easy, biggest downsize would be the loss of all the items/rare drops, weapons and armor you collected in the first one.
I don't want to buy it twice so I'm just remaining patient.
