why not preorder when you're going to get it anyway and know that its a good game. it's understandable if it's for an unknown or unproven game but this is uncharted we're talking about. your logic of preordering doesn't apply here.

there's no offline mode, just solo. you still need a connection. and if you open the pause menu the game still goes on in the background.
