Console version of GTA is terrile compared to a PC with Quad core and any 3yr old gpu.
consoel version = 630p, 25fps very small draw distances, blurry mess.
PC version = 1080p, 45-60fps(depending on cpu).
PC is easily the better choice.
Your PC is more then capable if its anything between 3-4yrs old and had a good gpu to begin with. since the gpu on the ps3 is 5yrs old atleast.
People need to stop falling for the PR crap. Even a game like Badcompany 2 looks world apart on PC vs Console.
Badcompany 2 on PC running on 3yr old hardware looked better then any console game, this is crysis so sure the difference will be even greater.

Consoles are a DRM it self. Have fun trying to play ps3 games on the PS4 cause there is no gaurantee it will work. Sony might as well charge you for enhanced PS4 versions. except when PS5 launches you might have to be paying againg for the enhanced PS5 versions. Just like whats happening with PS2 games for PS3 now.

You forgot to add up the royalties you paid per game :P add those in and by now the PS3 cost you a lot more then a PC, unless you just use the PS3 as a bluray player and dont really play games.

I would rather have hardware i can repair and replace myself. Relying on console makers to get their act together sees hopeless. Its either RROD or YLOD.

Yes but console users typically dont mind paying more. They already pay 10-20usd extra per game compared to PC version.
Extra 1-2usd per DLC wont hurt.

i bought GTA3 on the PC when it released. I dont have to wait for a company to relese a copy that runs in 1080p. If i decide to install it today on my rig, i know it will run @ 1080p.
