I actually haven't you know. I always keep saying to myself I need to play GOW 1&2 first but I might just play 3 instead this summer.
Although most of the levels were pretty boring. I suggest you play the night time levels. It's pretty amazing. Don't get your hopes up for a cool boss fight though like in Crysis 1.
Yh it detects you when your high up on a building far away but when your throwing a freakin car at him he just walks away.
Too many glitches in this game. Got stuck in nothing quite a few times and had to kill myself. Sometimes your in front of the alien and it just walks away. Couldn't pick up weapons in a few levels but could after dying. And that's just singleplayer.
Don't get me started on multiplayer.
But does it blend?

Yep definatly my fav mission. Everything going dark and being all stealthy. All the other missions were meh.

Well I pre ordered a copy weeks ago from GAME. Was dispatched Tuesday and still waiting. I hate Royal Mail and the scumbags that work there. 2nd time now.
I think yor getting ripped off if you pay £59.99. I have never seen a retailer put any game up to that price. Everything with the exception of Black Ops sells for £39.99.
Firstly Amazon listed this for pre order a long time ago. Secondly it's obviously not going to sell for £44.99 when it gets close to the launch date. Amazon will pass on any price decreases to anyone who pre orders.

You actually think that? If they preferred the console community then they would of been multi plat in the 1st place right? I think it's hard to please all fans. I could be wrong and Crytek might just have abandoned the PC gamers but it just seems odd that a company that had a huge fanbase due to their first success, is now abandoning them.
Hopefully my copy will arrive by tommorow.
One important fact to consider is that EA is the publisher. They have a heavy influence on what Crytek do. It's either listen to EA or find another publisher (which is unlikely because they are probably in some sort of contractual agreement). So in the end like many other developers Crytek have fallen into the hands of a big publisher, which values money over quality.
Cutscene compression. Why? Doesn't the blu ray disc have enough space? I doubt they filled they filled the disc up. Uncharted 2 and KZ3 didn't.
It's unfortunate for the PC gamers but I don't think Crytek had any other option. They had to go multi plat because well making Crysis is probably a very expensive project. Developing for 3 different platforms makes it even harder. They might of made a worse off PC version but in the end you have to remember there probably wouldn't be a Crysis 2 in the 1st place.

I noticed IGN talked about some balancing issues in Crysis 2 multiplayer. I wonder why they didn't say anything when they reviewed MW2 eh? Any way buying mostly for the single player.
I hope so. But UK release will be 2 days later like always. So 2nd of September for EU. Nothing is really coming out in September so that's a good release date.
