the easiest things to make are fire smoke n particles.Water takes quite a bit.but in all reality everything is just deformations of nice pictures.games are noooowere near cg.we have no real effects its alll pictures originally.the deformations n effects make them more believable. Its funny how much developers don't tell everybody how simple things really are.
best launch title here.even though the difference in nxt gen maybe small at 1st glance.As a open world filled with stuff i mean even the grass.i can only imagine how long it took to duplicate alll that grass.it was even very detailed with leaf pedals in motions.n yes thats quite easy but on that scale is impressive.

By the looks of it.all engions are on the same lvl according to lighting. I work with UDK3 N I CAN MAKE A LVL THAT LOOKS NEXT GEN.MY LVL LOOKS BETTER THEN GOW HOWS THATTT.STOP TALKING ABOUT ENGIONS.

u have to be a jack of all traits for all that.making a game takes alooot of effort wen you include rigging n animating.look up rigging its ridiculous people have no idea how hard it is to achieve this alone. Texturing is tricky as hell at times.look up uving.gamers are so ignorant n stupid.look up a tutorial on maya.i use it everyday n so do all devs. Textures depend on the artist.the engine is just for space N LIGHTING N THATS ALL.i have plenty of expierence.
All assests come from maya n of corse they will port n modify.gamers dont no nothing bout games.with one button u could smooth.any asset inyo double polys or use zbrush n turn it into millions.

1ST one is inspired by the helghast from killzone.I developed my own original helghast. His name is lester a judge.Theres a hint of dead space and assasins creed in the design.It is in realtime in Maya what all developers use.
2nd one takes inspiration from jak 3 erol. I completely modeled his body but with original modification n painted textures it looks better
