Lets say your playing call of duty 4. Push the left stick "forward" to move and aim with the right stick. Pull the trigger to fire. This button to switch weapons and this to throw grenades. Thats all. Reloading is automatic. It shouldnt take long to learn at all.
Watch your kids play the games your worried about for ten minutes. Watch the content in the game and how the kid reacts. If they are only 8 and shooting innocent people in a game as they laugh their head off, you might want to take the game away from them.
They already make a profit from selling the console. They will keep owners waiting as long as they want for a new game.
I think I can live for another six months without a new map.
A psycotic rig is all anyone ever hears about that they know costs way too much. For $360 of parts on newegg.com I can build a gaming computer that could play Far Cry 2 and Crysis on medium.
They use the argument its too expensive yet I can build a cheap computer easily from newegg.com. And for most people that have bought new computers recently all they need is a new graphics card for $50 off of ebay. My X1950Pro only sold on ebay for $35. That card can play Crysis on medium!
You dont need to google crap on the go but even when people do have it they still replace their phone for the in thing. Its a waste of money and resources.

Nobody buys a console for Geometry Wars. I want to see an actual list without those and the obvious crap titles.
They are either multiplatform games or they go to the pc. I built my own gaming computer from newegg.com so the 360 has Gears 2 (for now) and Halo 3 (which also will go to pc).
as for shooters, I doubt it.
The E3 presentation proved you can do anything you can think of. Thats a good thing.
Go download Grid Wars 2. Its pretty much an exact replica of Geometry Wars. Microsoft went after the creators because of that so you will have to use a torrent most likely. Its all legal though since there was never any lawsuit.

Anything with quantum in it is very complicated. All of the hackers are going to have to teach themselves a lot of new stuff before they can even try to break it.
Look at how much consoles cost right now and how long they will last before the next generation.
