I can see that happening.
I dont want to be bothered by someone in another game while playing my own. If they want me they can send a message asking if I want to play. Simple as that.
I would like to watch something on youtube at the least while waiting for a 1.5GB demo to install. Takes forever.
And what developer is going to follow that? I can see it for small games but for most that would just be impractical this generation. I can see it happening the next maybe.
Watching shows that networks allow on the internet would be great.

It morally okay to do. It is easier for me to download movies that I own for the psp than to convert them. I did that with Taledega Nights after the DVD kept crashing my ripping software.

A Wii on ebay sells for that much and you know which console has more to offer. This Christmas parents can pay $400 on ebay for a Wii or pay $400 and get a ps3 along with Little Big Planet. I'm sure the Wii will sell stupidly insane still this Christmas.
Thats what they mean by mass appeal. Casual and hardcore this Christmas equals a lot of sales.
Why because the instant you get more bandwidth its taken up instantly by things you didnt expect. Give one reason why any of the ISPs in the US should roll out fiber optic wires for us. There is none because they can continue making money off of you with current speeds.

COD4 at #18 loses to Braid at #2? I've heard its a good game but I KNOW it cant beat COD4. And how the heck does Super Mario Bros not end up on the list? I think the author just wrote random games down that they hear about and slapped numbers on them.
