Has Microsofts entire conference leaked basically now?
gamescom with september release (they've done this for multiple pieces of hardware before- ps3 slim 1 and slim 2; psp slim, ps tv etc) or paris games week i don't think TGS is an option as I doubt the japanese market cares about power and graphics.
They could be aiming to release in fall but if they decide to make changes just launch in new year and it's nothing much to them, it will still sell. Yeah ps4 sales over xmas might suffer a little bit because of some people waiting but ultimately they have 40+million units sold already....

It took so long because it's nonsense. The two consoles are basically running the same tech just one with more power. I would expect that if you just made a game for ps4 Base unit based on specs of neo leaked by press (if True) that the same software would actually run on ps4 without any changes but at better performance. Tbh if a developer decides to release one version of the game that's not been optimised (considering architecture is basically identical very little should needn't be done specifically for each one anyway) then I hate to tell you but it's most certainly that developer screwing you anyway not the manufacturer can safely bet an awful lot of money that Sony wouldn't allow their own games to release with such issues so frankly devs have little to no excuse.
Most 4k tvs I know of have inbuilt upscaling at anyrate and it looks great...
You will still be able to.out the game.in and go and if the rumours are correct and neo exists it's safe to say the rumours about no "neo only" games or features beyond better graphics etc will be allowed.
If 6TF is true but all games have to run on xb1 then that 6TF becomes useless. Games would be held back by the lower spec. If they aren't held back then.... MS will piss off alot of current xbox users. I mean releasing a console that plays games with better graphics is one thing. Releasing a console that plays exclusives the other doesn't or is a whole new generation.....before the 5 year mark... That's not OK. Plus any console they release most devs will be making games that run ...
@Angeljuice well I'm in the UK lol but if there's 2+ of them ans they had knives I would probably just give them my stuff. Unarmed and well maybe, I mean I've actually done several years of martial arts but property can be replaced and our police are actually fairly good at catching muggers and getting stuff back... Etc. @the commentator no one said BC was impossible but hard to pull off, wouldn't work for every game and unlikely to be something anyone would invest money and time into when they could be having those devs make new games. They were wrong. The tech requirements for a stable Rift support are far more concrete. However microsoft have already announced rift support on xbox one, so some games will function clearly. I don't think Sony will bite, I imagine they'd still wait a year or two before releasing a bee generation of console. Make it backwards compatible and similar price to ps4 was at launch and with their better first party devs and more of them they've got a winning combination - all they'd need is something like a naughty dog game around launch and that'd be big.... Plus Microsoft doesn't exist in Japan console space anymore basically and in Europe they couldn't outd...

Well for starters if they intend for games to run on xbox one slim then that power will mean very little, plus the 40 million and growing ps4 userbase isn't going to vanish so games will have to work properly on ps4. If they abandon the original xbox one they eliminate their userbase and potential money devs can make from that, they also probably REALLY piss off people that bought original xbox expecting 5 year life cycle minimum by announcing a new one at start of year 3 and then releasi...
