I don't know why people bring up indies to justify the PS4's position on games atm. There just aren't that many triple A or stand out titles on the PS4 that can't be experienced on the XB1 or PC.
I have all 3 main gaming consoles (And a Wii u as well, but I digress), and I have more exclusives that I love on PC and XB1, but I do play my playstation a lot. I played Infamous quite a bit and now I'm playing FF14 (you can play on both PC/console with 1 account...
Sadly, I had to cancel my preorder after playing the game. Mad props for releasing a demo, but it really felt like more of the same.
That's exactly what I thought, but I guess they have to release some things for the season pass holders. Minor updates here and there, etc.
showtimefolks,
There is no objective fact in the world of art.
Mad respect.
Seems super scientific.
I felt the same way about FC3. While the gameplay itself was solid and even innovative at times, the story was just ridiculous. The story itself pushed me away from FC3, until one day I just eventually decided to finish it.
In fact, some of the first things I researched about FC3 was if other people felt the main characters were completely shallow, spoiled, unlikeable, and silly. The villains weren't any better with the exception of Vaas. But hey, you'll get a plethor...
Chevalier,
It's not necessarily that an indie budget makes the experience less for me. I'll probably play transistor and child of light at some point.
It's that my biggest focus when it comes to why I play a game, is always the story. It always is and games like super time force don't provide me with that experience. It's not about the budget, it's that triple A games are more likely to have a story.
And while I don...
The difference being, you can play an indie game for a week, tops (most of the time). Triple A games provide a much longer experience.
Even though I spend most of my gaming time playing FFARR on ps4, MS's lineup is still superior imo and I haven't found a title yet that I couldn't play on PC or XB, to make the experience of the PS4 worth its price.
I used to play a lot of point and click games, and while the title 'indie' couldn't be given to sierra studios, my point being simply, I grew up on games without guns or violence, and purely led by your imagination. Because the graphics were worse than most indie games.
With that being said, I don't think every person who thinks Sony should focus on a few more triple A titles, is a person who lacks imagination. I think a lot of people are just frustrated with...
Who cares?
Jeez, the reviews are hot and cold. Sigh. IS it any good!?
Proud to say, I did not add to this number! Aw yea!
I love me some female protagonists.
Veneno,
1. I don't think PC is the best gaming device. I think it's subjective to the individual's preferences and opinions.
2. No, I play Titanfall on Xb1, because that's where the majority of my friends are.
I try a lot of indies, but I just don't like them. I like games with a cinematic feel and a proper story. Most indies are trying to mimic old school games, or completely create a new puzzle mechanics, etc.
Indies just aren't for some people. They aren't more or less of a gamer.
As a PS4 owner, I do. I'm not interested in their indie library. I buy consoles to play console exclusives, and sony is letting me down in that area.
I have more games for The One, because they have better exclusives for me. The only game I play regularly on PS4 is A Realm Reborn. (I wanted to try a console MMO)
I have a PC for most of the titles that are being ported to PS4. I don't see the point in playing them on PS4 when I can play them on PC, and...
I didn't play either games, that's why I bought tomb raider and plan to buy Last of Us remastered.
I wouldn't rate it higher than a 7, but it was a fun experience. Just a bit repetitive and light on content.
I get what you're saying but I've played all their previous games and they had BIG promises and hype towards how "different" this version was. I believed them... Then they released a demo, and it just looks prettier. It's practically the same game.
