I'm really curious how they will be able to register each disk when every disk is the same. I can understand how some multiplayer games have online access codes which could prevent that. I will definitive borrow some games and try the upgrade for $10. We shall see.
I remember buying the PS3 at release for $600. It basically included a PS2 along with a PS3. I thought I'd be playing my PS2 games occasionally on the PS3, but looking back, I rarely did. I think Sony made a good decision to keep the cost of the PS4 down as well as making games easier to develop for which should make better games. If I really want to play my PS3 games, I'll continue to use my PS3. I like that Sony is still making an effort to bring previous libraries to the PS4, knowi...
I think Microsoft has truth in their statement that women have expressed more interest in gaming over the past few years. I think the problem is that most women prefer to game on more casual platforms, like mobile and tablets, over consoles. I came across this article a few days ago on that emphasizes this topic.

I loved the original bionic commando and thought they did an excellent job bringing it back. I'm actually looking forward to the 2nd. It would be nice if they incorporated online co-op this time around.
I've seen so many articles titled "are Sony" and "are Microsoft". Must be a continuing trend with N4G. I know it's not on topic, but an incorrect title doesn't leave a good impression.
If the game developer really wanted a heroine, wouldn't you think her chest would be a little more prominent? How often do you see a female protagonist with small breasts? I'm still open to the idea of a new Samus.
I'm really on the fence about getting an XBox for Xmas. This has been one of the many reasons why I have held out from buying the XBox for so long.
milk it, milk it
I stopped at 3....I have too many guitars as it is.
Well, I don't live in the UK but after some searching, I came across this website that has some console prices:
www.game.co.uk/Consoles
I believe that the prices in the UK for the XBox 360 elite is running around £199 and the PS3 is about £249. I think it would be a whole different story if the price points were the same, like they are in the US, if all they are concerned about is cost.
I loved the Tanooki Suit
You're absolutely right, within the past month I have purchased Uncharted 2, Demons souls, MW2, AC2, and Dragon Age which will keep me busy well into 2010. I doubt the 360 deals wont be any better after Xmas, so now might be the time.
I'm hoping that my PS3 lasts as long as my PS2. I've had my PS2 since day 1 but it can barely read disks. I've never been an xbox owner but I am considering getting one for Xmas. The reliability has been steering me away, but with the new hardware it might be time to "jump in". What do you think?
The 100.4% can be correct. He's comparing PS3 preorders to 360. Just means that the PS3 has slightly more preorders than the 360 for that game. If it was 200%, then the PS3 would have 2X the preorders than the 360.
Edit: you beat me by a millisecond Nic
I was thinking the very same thing.....there's no way that anyone could think that this woman is obese.
Logitech has stated the following about functionality with the PS3 or other consoles:
"The G35 is a USB headset that requires Dolby software to deliver 7.1 simulated Surround Sound. If you can load the software on a game console then they will work with it."
I'd buy this if there was someway to get the software on a console....not too optimistic.
I didn't expect an all digital version either. I'm still getting the disc version. I'm also curious if there's any difference in storage between the two. I would also think that most people would want the capability to play blu-ray movies.
