I don't think quality = sales at all, you missed the whole point of my reply to ChozenWoan that was slamming ODST.
I would much rather play ODST instead of Heavy Rain and in the same token I would much rather play Uncharted 2 instead of ODST.
The point of my statement was that the Sony folks defend a game to high heaven saying it's the bestest game in the whole wide world and then they don't go out and buy it.
Mark my words Heavy Rain will be in the sam...

The more I've read on this game the more I no longer wanted to play it.
I canceled my pre-order last week.
For my 360 and the same will apply to my PS3.

What the big deal is about releasing games 2 months apart or 4 months apart.
If you want the game you will buy it, simple as that.
I understand folks having budgets but (no offense) do you really think the guys getting the hype machines rolling take in account your budget?
And I still stick by my opinion that Gears 3 will be out on it's 2 year cycle, this year.
And worry about it's own $hitty business model.
Their latest fiasco with the Mass Effect 2 DLC has netted them 92 pages and counting of screwed up customer accounts.

Xbox 360 exclusive called Deadly Premonition coming out in March that is in the same boat. No advertisement.
To not have Co-op in a multi character game is a crime in any game be it 2-4 players.
Take for instance Call of Juarez: Bound in blood, both brothers were together for the entire game, why not have co-op? Just Stupid.
If these devs put some thought into it, adding co-op could potentially sell more copies of a game as you and a friend (or several) would buy it as opposed to you or your friend just buying it.

Maybe you had the gore turn off too, that's why you didn't find it to be violent enough for you.
