I see them laying the groundwork for the rating being the game's failure if it does fail.

Agree, I have 400+ hours into Skyrim and I still haven't gotten all the Achievements, best $$ I've ever spent on a game IMO.
One of the trends i would like to see end is difficulty settings in the campaign, The one thing I think Epic did right with GOW:J was the challenge mode portion of the game, I'd like to see DEVS actually tweak the game itself the way Epic did as difficult settings.
Making my character a sissy and the baddies bullet sponges is getting old, it needs to change.
There is also no reason in squad based games why those characters couldn't be played co-op and...
I thought Deadpool was a great game and $49.00 at release to boot.

Are we sure the wave from the Imulsion weapon killed every Locust and Lambent? We got no death scenes of anything under ground or water, just the Locust/Lambent on the surface of Sera.

I'm not defending or condemning Microsoft here but in this day and age of Facebook, Twitter, Reddit,N4G and any other blogger/forum site literately 1000's upon 1000's of potential consumers see how you treat your current customers, good or bad, I don't understand why they would risk losing future sales over a $50.00 (our cost) controller, especially when it was shipped to this guy this way.
